also. as we’ve discussed before……. i love the idea of reg simping hard for monty and so barty, being the selfless and loving friend that he is, offers to distract effie. no ulterior motives obviously <3 and that’s when effiebarty comes into the picture<3

reg and barty scheming and plotting, making plans and working harder than they’ve ever worked in their entire lives. barty showing up at effies work when he knows shes getting off/on her way home and he bats his pretty little eyelashes at her and asks if she wants to grab a drink maybe. effie says no obviously because she knows how it would look. lucky for them that effie keeps a bottle of wine in her office tho. meanwhile barty shoots reg a text ’the eagle has landed’ and reg texts back ’text like a normal fucking person i swear to god’ but he doesn’t even have time to send it before monty opens the door to his home, becaus reg was knocking, and reg says something stupid like ’i was just in the area 😍’ and monty says ’oh. well james isn’t here. neither is sirius 🤔’ but he’s also a little distraced because reg just looks so pretty:/ and his wife isn’t home so like. would it kill him to let this kid indulge him just a little. its not like he’d ever act on it…….? its nothing!!!!!! monty was just reading anyway, drinking some tea. so he offers reg some tea too, it’s the least he can do if the kid came all the way over here :/
