i don’t like the fact people are suddenly doing a 180 on folly just because she’d be russian. yes what they are currently doing is horrible and should be stopped, but i don’t think being a certain race is immediately a bad thing?? like if a character was, say, southern, would you immediately assume by their race that they’re bad or troublesome? it’s just kinda edging onto racism territory for me idk

i haven’t come across more than a handful of spilby shippers who are respectful about the fact that spive is canon. they always interject into conversations about spive to say that they’d be better off as friends. it’s turned me away from shipping spaces, especially as a psychotic person who rarely sees psychotic characters like bive end up in healthy relationships/relationships where they’re respected and cared about by their partner.
