Name: my birth certificate says Carolina, i have friends who call me among other names,oli, and I also go by charlie and okelay Nicknames: see above Birthday: march 10th Gender: when I was younger I thought I might be trans, and I did act like a boy for a while, I even had a name, but then I realised I didn't want to be a boy either and since then I have often walked the line, often amusing myself in watching people try to guess my gender,they get so uncomfortable,it's hilarious. I think a big part of me feeling uncomfortable was internalised misogyny and having to live by someone else's standards.  i hated being told "you're  a girl and girls act this way so stop it and behave like a lady" between my mother and catholic school it was just awful. now that i'm older i've made my peace with being a girl but often i'll find myself feeling more genderqueer.  Sexual and Romantic Orientation: when i was younger i considered myself ace/aro when i actually learned those terms existed and they explained a lot. but then something happened, someone flipped a switch and suddenly i went from spectator to actually playing the game and it was very strange for me. but i thought then, and i still do, that when i meet people, liking them isnt based on their gender. i find a lot of people hot but i also find a lot of people stupid. i think the most accurate description ive found is panromantic demisexual, although i also suscribe to bisexual cause bisexuality gets an awful rap and it's not fair

Same. :( I miss journaling about my day/week. But at the same time that was probably more useful back when I was in school. Now I just go on here and it's like... here's some anime and memes. From me. Expect more of the same.

Here’s what I realized when I started this post: You and I are not much alike. But see, that’s why I love you. Because you have some awesome qualities that I have never possessed. And I admire you tremendously for them, even when (especially when) our differences lead to our arguments.

You’re you. And I know that sounds ridiculous, saying I love you because you’re you, but what I mean is that you’re you without reservation. No one ever has to wonder if you’re pretending to like something just to keep the peace or if you’re doing something that makes you uncomfortable. Because that’s not how you roll. And that’s awesome, because I’m one of those people who just wants the maximum number of people to be happy, and yeah, some days, I just want to be Kacey.

You’re carving out a place for yourself. You’re putting your opinions out there, speaking up, and doing something you actually have a passion for. It may not seem brave to you, but it’s crazy brave to me.

You’re so passionate about so many things, even if they’re things like bad Christmas movies, and it’s seriously so contagious.

Also, you’re hilarious. It may not seem like much, but when you’re a person who can’t actually write humor, it’s A LOT.

Basically, in many ways, you’re a person I wish I could be.

I want you to know that when I tell you how wonderful you are or show you that I believe in you, it’s not just because you’re my friend. It’s because you are worth believing in and I don’t waste my time believing in things that I don’t find worthy. You are more than worthy. You have a boundless amount of energy that I admire (I love movies, but how you make the time to see every movie may sound insane to you, but it’s amazing to me).

You are younger than me, but you inspire me. You inspire me to get off my ass and write and talk and do things and share my thoughts with the world because you’ve been doing it so well. (Okay, technically, I write while I’m on my ass, but it’s like a metaphorical getting off my ass.) You give me the space to do that whether it’s stupid shark movies or cinematography or whatever, and you inspired me to start making a space of my own out there in the world.

You talked about how we sometimes argue in your post about me, and it’s true, we do. And I agree, it’s actually great, because every time we do, it’s because we’re both smart (ok, sometimes I’m dumb but y’know), and we have opinions and we both have a lot to say about everything. And once we say those things, then we just pick right back up where we left off and that’s a really rare gift in a friendship. I would so much rather be friends with someone who is smart, has strong opinions and doesn't back down from them than with a person who doesn't have anything to say. That's why it all works so well.

I just love you. And I promise to continue to use italics properly for as long as I live. <3

40 Questions meme: 38. Talk about a review that made your day.

Well, any time someone I think is a wonderful writer says a nice thing, that REALLY makes my day. 

But the two that really stick out in my mind are Yuletide related!

On always where i need to be, my recipient left this comment, which is like SEVEN paragraphs long. You know, you never really know how genuine a comment is, and maybe this wonderful person is just so wonderful she can fake seven paragraphs of enthusiasm (certainly, that is not my favorite fic that I've written and there is so much wrong with it, it's possible). But none of that mattered, because the fact that they took the time to write all that no matter what their feelings were really means something to me. It was awesome. (Especially because the year prior to this I didn't receive a thank you, a fuck off, or ANYTHING from my recipient, so this was the complete opposite of that.) 

That same year, I wrote a Pitch Perfect treat for regularvowel called One Hand On the Trigger of a Telephone. She was 100% not aware that it was written by me and she livetweeted her reading of the fic & then posted a screencap of those tweets to the AO3 comment not knowing that I was LOSING MY SHIT watching her tweet about it. That was PURE gold and I never ever have to question the fact that she really did love that fic. (Because, you know, when your friends KNOW you wrote them a gift, they have to be nice. But when they don't know, they could just bitch about it on Twitter and then be fake nice on AO3, but this was pure awesomeness.)
