‘I’m trying really hard not to pressure you, but I need an answer.’ Reid told them. He knew he sounded desperate, but this was his chance. He had saved up the money, he had the job and apartment lined up. All he needed was to know if they were going to go with him. He wanted them to. Of course he did but would never make them do anything they didn’t want, even if it meant they could no longer be together. But he couldn’t stay in this small town any longer. Soulmates. Maybe at one point Reid believed in them. When his parents were happy and in love. When his family wasn’t split in half by his fathers sudden departure. Call him jaded now, only going out on one date here or there, never truly settling down. Doing a job that could claim his life at any point. But looking at Carsyn as they sat back with their friends had him feeling like he was meant to meet her. Meant to have her in his life whether it was simply a best friend or more. ‘We always ask you to come with us, what do you mean?’ Jason’s voice broke him out of his thoughts.

'Yeah but you guys never actually push it. This one though, she’s made it her mission in life to get me to like music more so it kind of sealed the deal really.’ Doubt suddenly settled into his core. What if they did become something more if by some weird miracle Carsyn was feeling what he was? What if if it ended badly? Break up’s were terrible as it was but even worse when you were in the same friend group. People felt like they had to take sides. As quick as the thoughts came he was pushing them aside. Getting ahead of himself really. Thinking that going to a concert with her somehow suddenly made the outing a date was going a bit far. // @lostxones
