The festivities were much tamer than the days prior, and for that, the doctor was grateful. He sat cross-legged in the grass, enjoying a sandwich through the opening in his mask.

He hadn't done as much socializing as he'd hoped, not finding many leads for his investigation anyway. Once or twice, he'd had a nice chat, but otherwise he was on his own for most of the event. He was beginning to worry about missing opportunities for gathering information.

Closed Starter- Bailey's Back

Bailey had been gone for a while, had an emergency to deal with that took months away from them. In that time, they ruined their relationship with Annie. So here they are, standing at her door, knuckles hovering over the wood, hesitant.

But eventually, Bailey takes a deep breath, and after a few seconds of pumping themselves up, they knock. Their hands shake as they wait for Annie to open the door, and they nervously shift their weight from one foot to another.

Thay woke up early in the morning, sunlight streaming through the window, illuminating the entire room. Milo was fast asleep, looking truly rested now, his bandaged hands clutching his teddy bear tightly. His face was slightly flushed and his eyes were swollen from crying the previous night. She smiled, feeling a warm sensation in her chest. She adored that boy, and she didn't mind helping him at all.

After stretching and carefully getting out of bed so as not to wake him, she went to the kitchen, where she began to prepare tea and put out some fruit and cookies for his breakfast. She didn't know if he would wake up hungry or without an appetite, so she didn't pay much attention until that moment. When the kettle whistled, she left the kitchen carrying everything on a tray.

"Hey baby, wake up, I made tea and brought cookies." Thay sat on the bed, running her hand through Milo's hair and kissing his face to wake him up.
