❝ no matter what ladybug says , i’m obviously always going to be queen bee. ❞ she twisted and turned in front of a mirror , examining the latest replica costume she'd had made. there were now multiple improvements since the last one , including turning her fake spinning top into a phone. superheroes didn’t need powers to fight crime. ❝ without me , hawkmoth will take over in no time ! ladybug will realize her mistake soon enough but until then sabrina , you’ll pretend to be the akuma i’ll train on ! ❞

❝ Why... why did you lock me in the bathroom? ❞ A LOADED QUESTION FOR SURE--but Juleka was determined to not let negative emotions once again envelop her and cause an akuma to hunt her down. Therefore, the question was asked rather calmly instead.
❝ Why couldn’t you just let me be in the photograph...? ❞
“I’m your friend, of course I care!”

“My friend? Don’t make me laugh.
The disappointed emotion that had momentarily rested on Chloe’s face just minutes ago was gone in a flash, replaced by a stone cold glare. It wasn’t Sabrina’s fault that she’d stumbled upon Chloe like this, hiding away in the locker room at school while the rest of their classmates were actually attending class. It wasn’t Sabrina’s fault that Chloe was in this foul mood, left on an emotional edge that made her uncomfortably vulnerable. And it wasn’t Sabrina’s fault that Chloe’s mother, for the fifth time in two months, had cancelled yet another visit.
But that didn’t mean that Chloe wasn’t going to take it out on her so-called ‘BFF.’
“You think I can’t see through this little devotee act you’ve got going on? I know you’re just like the rest of them.” An accusatory finger was pointed in Sabrina’s direction, followed by the narrowing of Chloe’s eyes. This was easy to do. Place blame, throw out insults. Her sharp tongue was a second nature, even when directed at the one girl who had stood by her side through thick and thin. “The only reason you’re here is because you want something from me.”
Another easy thing to do? Drive people away.
“Well. I’m not going to give you anything right now. So you can just… Drop the charade, and go ‘care’ about somebody else.”
