Regarding your last himeko post

I agree in that it makes sense she’s been given more of a backseat role up until now. She is like the main reason for everything happening.

Iirc she’s the first to invite tb to join the express after hss. She is the one to say let the younger 3 go to belobog on their own so tb gets to know the younger members of the crew and how to trailblaze better. She’s the one that brings up the idea of joining the phantasmoon games.

People see tb as the face of the express, but only in the big, heroic feats way. Himeko is the face of the express for everything behind the scenes. Himeko does the negotiations with Jade. Himeko is the main face during discussing penacony’s shares iirc. She’s the one to help sort out diplomatic issues as they come up, generally speaking

The express doesn’t truly have a leader, but himeko’s the closest thing they have to one. She handles all the messy logistical details behind the scenes while tb and the rest go out and save the day. So it makes sense she’s isn’t given much focus; in a game full of hype moments and aura, the person who usually takes care of the more “boring” tasks takes a backseat.

Having said that, it also makes sense that she’s taking a more forward approach now. Most of the events in planarcadia revolve around her and her past actions, so she naturally has to take a more center role. It’s her home world and the current events of the game wouldn’t have happened without her restarting the express. She is quite literally the driving force behind everything, and the planarcadia arc is helping to demonstrate that.

With the planarcadia arc concluding tho, I wouldn’t be surprised if she took more of a backseat role again, supporting the younger members of the crew behind the scenes once again. She is a navigator, after all; someone meant to chart out and guide the way for the rest of the party to truly shine, not someone who leads the charge herself (broadly speaking, that is)

Idk just some himeko thoughts. I’ve loved getting to know more about her these last few patches.

I dont think Himeko will really be taking a step back till like 5.0, honestly.

I’d argue it’ll be more similar to the transition in 3.x - where following 3.4, Phainon took a backseat role but he was still haunting the narrative, and the Cyrene became a larger focus.

I’d say it’ll be something similar with Himeko.. BUT SHE WONT BE HAUNTING THE NARRATIVE BECAUSE SHE’S GOING TO LIVE (IF WE ALL SAY IT ITLL BE TRUE TRUST).

But yeah. A transition from the focus on Himeko’s arc, to like, obviously Nihilux’s.

Himeko will probably be staying nearby as a companion, without really having the largest focus. It’ll still be more of a focus than other characters, again, akin to Phainon, but like, we’re gonna be transitioning into Elation Arc Pt 2, and with that we’re going to be focusing on the character whose been getting built up since 4.0… like with Cyrene.

I really don’t think TB is gonna wanna let anyone outta their sight following 4.4…

Following 4.x’s conclusion, Himeko will likelt step back again… but not nearly as much as before.

The others wouldnt let her, for one.

Two.. her responsibilities, the ones that would keep her in the background, those are already ones she’s letting the others carry with her. Back in like, 4.1, 4.2, i made a post regarding the idea of Himeko setting TB up to take the Navigator role if/when she dies (which honestly still seems totally reasonable to me)

One of the things I brought up in that post, was the fact Himeko sent Trailblazer to be the one to negotiate with Pearl. Welt & March accompanied, yes, but it was specifically Trailblazer sent to deal with that. Thats something she’d normally handle herself.

I imagine she’ll settle into a similar level of relevancy as March & Dan Heng, or at least close to it. Specifically, post ampho March & Dan Heng. Still relevant, still active in the plot, moreso than in Penacony, but not the main focus.

Although, in all honesty, at this point? I really am expecting them to do something with Himeko & Firefly when we get the inevitable Firefly SP. Especially following the character growth and healing she’ll be forced to handle in 4.4.

They’ve set up way too many similarities to be coincidence, and hoyo doesnt really do coincidence.. or at least, not without deciding to run with it.

Also if they have two characters with similar chronic/terminal illness arcs, to the point of literal visual similarities, and they DONT do something with the two? i WILL riot.

Anyways, maybe im being overly optimistic… but i love Himeko too much, and i refuse to believe she’ll fade into the shadoes again!!

It feels like it’d go against her arc anyways tbh lol.

They’re going to be the death of me-

They both got what they wanted too.

Trailblazer made sure Firefly didnt die alone, rhey didnt leave even when she faded, they changed history so that it never happened that she died alone.

And Motoko, our Himeko? She brought Himeko into the Express, to the stars, after she died beneath them.

They each had a wish - Firefly wanted to see the fireworks. Himeko wanted to reach the stars.

The person closest to them fulfilled their wish.

Trailblazer was too late. Motoko couldnt stop her.

But…

They still made sure she saw the fireworks. She still took them to the stars.

And they both resolved to never again, have to go through that, to never let someone they love go through that, not without them dying first to try and save them.

Which im sure will go great in 4.4

The more I look at this inage tbe more im worried its a future premonition.

Like between Firefly’s clip & Silver Wolf’s glasses both on the ground, Mortenax Blade’s sword embedded in the ground, and TB stabbing Kafka with Firefly’s sword..

I still dont think it’s a ‘TB went berserk’ scenario though. TB has never shown a risk of that. Unless its like a ‘if you stepped towards the Destruction’ type thing.

Im still worried its a ‘Kafka spirit whispered them’ thing. Because for fucks sake its something she’d do, especially for the script.

And I dont ever see these guys willingly fighting each other to this point.

It could be Asat Pramad fucking with them, sure. But at the same time, Trailblazer has always had some degree of foresight.

If we got this with little to no context, i think the most interesting thing they could do, would be set it up go be unclear - is it asat pramad’s doing, the stellaron’s doing, or is it their own ability of foresight?

It’d be interesting to see TB have that haunting their proceeding interactions with the Hunters. It’d be interesting to see TB pack pedal on their willingness to be openly close with them… because they’re afraid of themself being a risk to the Hunters. It would particularly so when you consider we’re going to be getting Firefly & Kafka next.. and those three are clearly the ones highlighted there, considering its Kafka being stabbed and its with Firefly’s sword.

I need Hoyo to release a new video already im foaming at the mouth.
