He hasn't had a real friend his age in forever, and he isn't about to start, keeping his guard up while siphoning just the right amount of closeness out of him. He's torn with guilt when he notices he's falling back into his old manipulative patterns, and Ekubo thinks he's an idiot, but he doesn't know how to ask for what he wants if there's a risk to be rejected. Rejected by someone he views as socially awkward too... Why is he so drawn to clueless people? Why does he need to feel like the one feeding them clues to draw the conclusions he wants to hear?

How come Serizawa looks more and more confused every time they kiss? What is he thinking? WHY is he thinking? He wasn't supposed to think...
