Rejection. It was hard extracting a concept from my previous post, but after much thought I realized a lot of what goes through my head is in fact rejection or more so the fear of it. So for this task I decided to get myself rejected, How? Well I could go out & get myself rejected by some “fuckboy” & write about how it shattered my ego but instead I decided to do something more close to home, an audition.

I have always wanted a call back from an audition, I haven’t been to many auditions either & only 1 did I get a call back. My most recent audition was about a week ago, & I was really pumped up to get the part. It was for a DTSV add, when I went there was a long line of girls who were also just as pumped as me, I was stupid & didn’t look at the brief before hand. They usually don’t really explain what exactly you have to do. So when I went in I completely embarrassed myslef, I had to pretend to be some girl in a mental institution & it all resulted in me eating my hair and making animal noices in front of the directors.

I guess you can tell I didn’t get the part. I felt a bit awful & obviously I didn’t feel “good enough”, but I guess rejection is very important. It makes you stronger & there will always be more parts. 

Next time I will be more prepared, also being over confident never helps. Just have more faith in yourself for the next time.
