6. What was the thought process behind their appearance? Did you go mostly for the aesthetic or are there other reasons they look the way they do?

the way I designed both comet and comedy is very much leaning more symbolic and metaphorical rather than "they would Literally wear this" b/c I think it's more interesting that way :3c in general I kinda also just go for the cool/I just think it looks nice factor over logic LOL

That post you tagged Comet on was pretty good. Imitative morality. I suppose that comes from the fact that a lot of things considered 'immoral' are things that disrupt social cohesion. So making social acceptance guide your moral compass is an understandable albeit morally immature way to judge between right and wrong.

Has Comet ever made any big mistakes due to this form of moral decision making? What's the best thing Comet ever did just because Melia wanted them to?

morally immature yep thats the most accurate description of comets moral compass! though I think it’s less the social acceptance itself guiding them and more like… their dismissiveness of social acceptance has hurt people they care about before and as a result of that comet starts looking toward melia to tell them how to behave if that makes sense. even by kf they are still Not Very Good at this whole communication thing especially w people outside their immediate close circle

I really like Comet and Melia, but can you talk more about Comedy and M2? Did Comedy ever feel the same obligation to protect Melia? How do they see M2?

comedy does go into the new timeline with the same desire to protect melia (she's probably the only character with high relationship points in this run, honestly) and they were Already subconsciously viewing rene!melia as a ghost of para!melia from their time as comet, so m2 just adds another layer of separation into the mix

I do think comedy has a kind of strange kinship with m2 though in the fact that both of them have injected themselves into this timeline from another one. theyre definitely less emotionally close but [GESTURES VAGUELY] at the same time they can understand eachothers situation better than if it was rene!melia. but m2 for most of kf Doesn't Know that comedy can see right through her ^_^ because comedy isnt exactly forthcoming about their whole "has already done this before" thing. so its very fun
