Fluffy ears stuck up in joy as Alma had gotten her hand on the sweet treat humans had come to call ice cream, which on the hot days like this was a good kind of treat. Alma licked her lips honestly not knowing why she was holding from herself back from just eating the ice cream, she didn’t want to be seen as impolite not knowing the actual correct way to eat it, she didn’t want to mess up and look weird. Her tail followed behind her swaying gently as she walked along the path passing person after person as she carefully walked back towards the apartment building. Though being almost back Alma had let her gaze focus on the odd treat and bit more than she probably should have, her feet began to carry herself in a wobbly fashion. As Alma wobbly walked along the path her arm had bumped hard enough into another citizen to cause her body to jerk slightly causing her to drop her ice cream.
Ears once again on edge and her posture correcting to keep herself from falling over the the odd eyed girl watched as her treat fell to the ground and splattered with no chance of being able to be eaten now. It seemed the passerby had stopped as well, Alma though had pretty much frozen in place just looking down at the ruined ice cream. Alma gave a soft breath for only a moment otherwise seeming like she was not breathing at all, but subtle breaths were being taken trying to keep herself calm. Though even with her calming techniques she could not help it very much at all, Alma fell to her knees sitting in position that a child might, she simply stared at the ice cream from there for a few minutes. Soon though hands would be brought up to her eyes the sleeves of her shirt getting in the way of her reddining face as to try and hide it from anyone around her.
It was in this moment her tail curled around to her side and her ears flattened on her head, her hands gave a bit of a turning motion against her eyes. Moments later the light sniffling starting to sound from her as she sat there rubbing her eyes, it could be obvious by now, but she was trying to hold back from crying. In such a few short minutes Alma had gone from being so very happy to being sad over losing a treat she saved up (money people lost) for. “My ice cream....!” Alma finally said, normally she wouldn’t react like this if she had not worked hard most of the day to find the money to purchase it, but now her work seemed like it was going to be for nothing.
