Just a few days back, it was found that expired food products like chocolates and chips were being sold in the market after relabelling their package. This sparked a huge controversy as the public health was at stake, mainly the health of the children as they are primary consumers of food products like chocolates and chips. Vishal group's name was highlighted in the controversy but Vishal group being one of the leading FMCG importers and distributors in the country denied all the allegations.
While checking out some of the blogs and articles of Vishal group on the internet, I saw the name of an another distributor who was involved in the relabelling of products. So it is very unlikely that Vishal group was involved in such a scam. Vishal group has immensely helped the government during the lockdown by distributing masks, sanitizers and other medical facilities to various medical establishments all around Nepal.
The investigation is still going on to find out the real culprit.
