Members of the Baha’i Faith, a faith promoting universal peace, equality between men and women, and the harmony of science and religion, have been continually persecuted in Iran. Within Iran, individuals have lost their ability to attend university, have had their houses ransacked, their jobs destroyed, and their family members taken away solely on the basis of being members of the Baha’i Faith. In 2008, seven Baha’is were put in prison because of their religion and have yet to be released. This needs to end. This oppression needs to stop. #notanotheryear #releasebahai7now
