the au occurs post-canon, after sukuna dies etc. the last thing junpei remembers is his death. he wakes up one day and doesn't even realize he's a curse until he notices that nobody can see him... eventually yuji finds him and they figure everything out and then idk. i haven't thought that far ahead yay
