The short author’s frame hovered over a fractured piece of concrete-- her body held up by two branched of her kagune that held firm onto the broken slabs of what was once a busy sidewalk. Below both herself and her kagune was the sight of a thick wire cable, one that was just waiting to be cut.
Of course, while the cable was within her reach, so were various monsters that had been created solely to protect the area from individuals like herself. Eto scoffed at them, considering them nothing more than fodder for her to slice through. She was quick to note that others had similar goals, but was surprised to see a familiar face.
Blake Belladonna-- one of the employees of her now ruined store. Eto had recognized the young girl as not only a hard worker, but as someone who could hold her own. A mutual affection for literature also helped the author’s opinion of the woman. Observing her from afar now, Eto knew her deductions about Blake had to be correct.
Yet, with the both of them being near the fray of wire-cutters and monsters, Eto knew that she was taking a risk of being seen. Blake Belladonna knew her solely as Takatsuki Sen, eccentric author and employer-- it would only take moments for that to change. Her eyes glanced at the wire beneath them all, and let out a short exhale. It was a risk, but, one that was necessary to be taken.
Surging forward with her kagune, Eto made quick work of slicing through the beast nearest Blake. Her feet hit the ground with a light ‘tap’, and Eto found a way to make herself smile. There was no going back now, was there?
“Why, Blake, how funny to see you here.”
