This goes for all religion, and it’s not meant to be an insult, it’s a genuine question because I have not been involved in fate.

I keep seeing “read between the lines” and “your own interpretation “ but like, aren’t religious texts supposed to spell stuff out? Like I get stories can be exaggerated or made for a moral but I shouldn’t have to guess the moral right? I shouldn’t have to guess what Jesus or Muhammad or Moses meant right?

Or am I totally wrong on that and part of religion is that self interpretation part?

i drove past a church on my way to work with their billboard saying "a family with an altar will alter the family" and i'm like... ????????

the only people i personally know with altars are hindu, catholic, and wiccan, and that was a christian church but like...

it wasn't catholic?????? i was raised baptist is this normal for other christians??????????

Question on Christianity.

I grew up an Episcopalian Christian, and attended private school until eighth grade. My dad died that year, and after that, my best friend committed suicide. I’ve been angry with God for three years. I’m at a point in my life where the anger is consuming and it doesn’t benefit me. How do I overcome that? How do I let go of my anger?

putting this in the vegan and vegetarian tag, hoping I won't get killed socially here. I like to eat meat sometimes. WITH THAT OUT OF THE WAY, I'D LIKE TO DISCUSS CHRISTIANITY AND VEGETARIANISM/VEGANISM. I saw on a very pro-vegan/vegetarian YouTube video that "God created animals for a reason." I would like to have a healthy discussion on verses:

Gen 9:3 ("Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things." 9:4 says don't eat living stuff)

and

Mark 7:15 (" '[unclean foods like pork] do[es] not go into the mind, but into the stomach. Then it goes out the body.' (When Jesus said this, He meant  that no longer was any food unclean for people to eat)"

I agree with the video. God did create animals for a reason.
