Infested (2002) I saw this movie maybe 17 yrs ago and I remember clearly telling people this B movie was underrated and surpassed by expectations from films very similar. I would buy a dvd of it many years later and still had not rewatched it till right now. Opinions change over the years, especially on these things. But guess what? It didn't. This was a blast. It's a bad movie but one that legit gave a damn. Your basic Syfy network/Asylum plot but with "real" actors playing characters with actual personalities. Imagine the producers of a 90s sitcom like Friends tried to make a Stephen King movie. Even the opening credits look like Friends or Mad about You, with a quirky little bug gimmick added in. Sure, It's dumbed down and so insanely 90s for 2002 but it's all here , blood, boobs, beasts, cheesie fx, random gags and hilariously dumb logic. What a cast though. Amy Jo Johnson the og Pink Ranger is cute as hell and tough as nails and she gives us a legit horror movie style shower scene. The icon Zach Galligan is not only ageless but he gives us a full on solo gore scene that's on par with something out of Cabin Fever. Tom from Star Trek Voyager is your token weird yet nice guy and then a small role by Jack Mulcahey, that's right freakin Rem LaZAR! It starts off as a big chill style gathering of cliche white yuppies gathering and grumbling about the good ol' times then at about 30 mins in we go from killer bug movie to a zombie movie with slasher logic. None of these actors look at this as their favorite role but if I met any of them I'd get them to sign my dvd. I've bumped into Amy Jo Johnson a few times and I really should have done that.
Don't be alarmed if you hear Rem Lazar faintly playing
That's just me coming closer to you
Re: Zero, but in every scene Rem is replaced by Rem Lazar
Rem Lezar "Higher"
