Affirmation
O, Spirit, from today on I will strive to know Thee. I will make the effort to cultivate Thy friendship. All my duties will be performed with the thought that I am realizing Thee through them, and am thus pleasing Thee.
May the Aurora Borealis of Spirit Dance Within Your Soul - Work for God, Use Your Reason to Find God, Help Others, Practice Kriya Yoga
The person within whom the aurora borealis of Spirit is dancing - whether materially he possesses much or no outward glamour at all - he is the real soul.
Work for God, love God alone, and be wise with God. Use your reason, not to become an overstuffed intellect, but to find God - gravitating toward intuitive wisdom gained in meditation and avoiding theoretical knowledge and materialistic rationalizing. Use your devotion not for worldly attachment to things or people - but to find God - absorbing yourself in devotion and ecstasy with God. And work not for yourself under any circumstances, but for God and to help others. The culmination of these lies in following the direct highway to God through practicing Kriya Yoga - listening to the cosmic sound of God’s voice of Aum, quieting the heart and breath which draw you toward body consciousness, and seeing His great light of omnipresence.
- Paramahansa Yogananda, Journey to Self-Realization p 64.
*Keep your spiritual goal front and center during daily duties and interactions with others. Throughout the day pause often to bring the mind back to God’s presence. Change daily habits if necessary so that most activities are natural vehicles leading toward Spirit. Are your media and reading choices directing your thoughts toward higher states of intuitive consciousness? Are you modeling a life for others to follow? If you have the means, are you serving those in need? Is your first goal to see the Light of omnipresence? Make this day and this life an offering to that Light. OmLove, Annie

“We need prayer and worship to help us remember God. The world is too strong, it takes us away, distracts us, makes us forget. The nations today live an anthropocentric life, a life of lethe (forgetting), everyone centered on themselves. We need a theanthropocentric life, a life of alitheia [the word for ‘truth’ in the New Testament]. Living in the world causes the human personality to become fragmented. These anthropocentric, man-centered ideas, attitudes and actions are ‘amartia’: - sin. They divide us internally, and they also divide us from one another.”

Hey guys, today is the last day of our study in 2 Timothy 1:1-8. In the last 7 day we have talked about:
- Day1 Thanking God
- Day2 Remember God
- Day3 Take care of the Flame
- Day4 The Spirit gives us Power
- Day5 The Spirit Gives Us The Power Of Love
- Day6 The Spirit Gives Us Self-Discipline.
- Day7 Do Not Be Ashamed
Yesterday we talked 2 Timothy 1:8a and what it talked about. The verse states “ So do not be ASHAMED of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner...” We talked about not being ashamed of God and the testimony that he has given us. Verse 8b states “ Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God.” In this verse it tells us not to be ashamed but to join him in the suffering. Know if we read on it continues to state “ He has saved us and called us to a holy life not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. And of this gospel I was appointed a herald and an apostle and a teacher. That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet this is no cause for shame, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day.” 2 Timothy 1:9-12
What these verses are talking about suffering for the gospel. Paul is in person because of his testimony of Jesus Christ. He is killed for this. In this letter to Timothy, he is encouraging him to follow Christ and to lead people. He is telling us the same thing. We should follow Christ Whole heartedly because the Gospel is worth dying for. those of you who are note takers, note this. The Gospel is Worth Suffering For because God is greater than my suffering.
