On this day in Texas history (Oct 9, 1835): Texian rebels captured the Mexican fort at Goliad! 🤠🇨🇱 Led by George Collingsworth and Ben Milam, about 50 volunteers stormed the presidio in a surprise night attack. After just 30 minutes, the Mexican defenders surrendered.This early victory in the Texas Revolution boosted morale, secured valuable supplies, and disrupted Mexican supply lines.
