Tidedance and Hollybranch
Themes of accidental death & grief
Tidedance is the sister of Shellfur. After his death Tidedance was unable to leave her nest for moons. Because of this Cloudbreeze spent a lot of his time taking care of her and bringing her across the Streamclan border to visit Shellfur's mate Hollybranch in Leafclan.
Hollybranch is the mate of the late Shellfur. She feels eternal guilt for his death, feeling like if she hadn't asked him to move to Leafclan he wouldn't be dead. After her mates passing Hollybranch has grown close to Tidedance and developed a strong friendship. They share memories of Shellfur and talk about him frequently. Hollybranch keeps Shellfur's memory alive within her life by arranging seashells around her nest and visiting Tidedance and Cloudbreeze regularly.

Shellfur and Cloudbreeze

Shellfur grew up in Streamclan with his best friend Cloudbreeze. With so many cats in Streamclan it's easy to get forgotten, but something about Shellfur is that everyone in Streamclan knew him even if they never really thought about him. Shellfur had never been considered to be deputy but if you were to ask anyone who knew him, they would agree that he would make a great leader. One day Shellfur took his parents Beachsweep and Skyswoop out to a clearing to talk to them, confessing that he had met a she-cat in Leafclan and was going to leave Streamclan to be with her. His parents didn't approve and began to yell and berate Shellfur, who climbed up a tree to distance himself in hopes they would calm down. Beachsweep and Skyswoop quickly followed him up to try and convince him to stay in Streamclan. Shellfur began to raise his voice and while distracted by the argument he slipped and fell from the tree, dying. In the aftermath of his death his best friend Cloudbreeze is grief stricken and depressed
Cloudbreeze is a lonely and quiet tomcat with very little friends which include his closest friend Shellfur After Shellfur's tragic death Cloudbreeze takes the camera he and Shellfur had found moons prior and begins to record interviews with the cats of Streamclan that knew Shellfur whether that be cats who only spoke to him once, close friends, family, or the leader himself. Cloudbreeze always blended into a crowd, he never talked a lot and didn't have many friends. Shellfur was like a brother to him and felt safer in Streamclan with him there.
