On 17 April 2019, Remembering Sewol UK and Korean Cultural Centre UK co-presented two moving short films on the Sewol Ferry Disaster; ‘In The Absence‘ and ‘Mom, The First and Last Moment of My Life‘. After the screening Gary Byung-seok Kam, the producer of ‘In the Absence’, took some questions from audience.
It was part of series of events marking the fifth anniversary of the disaster.

Today is the 5th Anniversary of the Sewol ferry disaster which claimed 304 lives, including 250 high school children. On Saturday Remembering Sewol UK held their 60th monthly protest in Trafalgar Square.
