How to live.
It's been a while since I've written anything of substance, or really anything at all.. But I think this is important. I'm in class at this moment hearing about infections, diseases, and how to prolong life through exercise and sports medicine. Ironic. We live every day of our lives assuming that things are going to go more or less as we plan. Go to school, graduate college, work, meet the love of your life, get married, have kids, teach your kids to be good people, travel, and enjoy retirement. Sure for a lot of people it doesn't always happen in that order. Hell, nowadays, the "ideal" order of events isn't so cut and dry anymore. But my point is... how is it that we spend all this time planning for the future that we forget to live in the moment? The fact of the matter is that everything we've been focusing on trying to attain can be taken away in an instance. So was it worth it? Maybe it is... or was. I'm not saying we should disregard all the things that we want to do. I'm just saying... throughout our lives, we need to remember how to live. Take risks. Be spontaneous. If you love someone, tell them. And at the end of the day, do whatever the hell it is that makes you absolutely happy. Tiffany, I know you'll never see this but I really appreciate you. Thank you for gracing my life with your friendship and positivity. Although you may be gone, I still continue to learn from you. Thank you for reminding me how to perform with passion and thank you for reminding me how to live. Rest in Peace, beautiful. I know you're shining down on us from heaven.
