I've been pessimist posting a lot lately but it's my birthday and I'm actually excited to be 30! New chapter of being an adult and while Im still kinda lost at what I want to do as a career, I'm proud of how much I've done and accomplished in the past ten years.
Some examples:
-Graduated with a bachelor's degree with a 4.0! That I've never gotten before then.
-Made a nonprofit for two years and provided over 100 trans ppl in the pnw with binders and packers.
-Pretty much tried every type of customer service job (I worked at retail, convenience store, grocery store, sex toy store, a restaurant, I think the only one I didn't is a bar).
-Continued writing and now have three different ideas for books with outlines.
-Continued reading and know too much about topics not related to what I went to school in
-Got Top surgery!
-Became more familiar in my body and learned to like it more and the way it looks, even when I would gain or lose weight (also getting rid of my internal fatphobia).
-Realizing my trauma from childhood and beginning to try to heal. (This one's gonna take a while)
-Getting help when I was on the brink of suicide twice.
-Bought a house! (With Grandma money from my partner) But bought it together nonetheless :)
-Got Queer Married at the Queer Resource Center!!
-Went out of the country for the first time when we went to Ireland for our Honeymoon!
-Got my driving permit (I'm still extremely nervous to drive so dunno when I'm gonna get my full license but it's a start)
-Realized that I don't have to take care of everyone around me anymore.
-Realizing that I would burn out immediately if I went for social work even if I want to help people
-Grieving the mobility I used to have and trying to find joy in what I can still do.
And many many more!
