She --- who felt the world collapse. She --- who died alongside it. She --- who cannot remember the names of her ( only ) two friends, at times, but who remembers perfectly, acutely, the sensation of splitting ribs and slowing heart. Her broken memories writhe around the look of him, because he is familiar ( a boy with blonde hair and warm eyes and that face ) but wrong. She doesn’t like it. She cannot recall much already; to have something which straddles so carefully the line between familiar and sick is disquieting.
“You’re ------ familiar.”
