a brave new world

There was something strange about this place. She thought she was somewhere in thanalan near Horizon, but now she was around the overgrowth of some kind.
She had landed in water. Her head must have hit something when she landed, because she could feel something warm on her forehead and two new chips in her bone-colored horn. She panned the scenery, comparing it to that of where she had been.
West Thanalan, nearing the Sands...
She had a message for Urianger from Alphinaud, but...
She felt around in the water for the parchment, only to pull a soaked one out instead. It had been a report about the current dealings in Ishgard.
"Gods, fuck me," she swore, her tail whipping back and forth in a rapid movement. The Warrior of Light can best a primal but she cannot keep a parcel safe. Hah.
She eased herself into a sitting position on a ruin of some kind. It felt cold just like the stone in Ishgard, but when she knocked on it, there was a metallic sound. Her eyes quickly panned out to her surroundings again.
"The ruins in Thanalan were stone," she started. "But the ruins here... are of metal and stone."
She craned her head up to look at the overcast sky only to see a tower in the distance that was leaning to its side. She could see a faded red logo.
"Where am--?" she started before her head throbbed again. Images of an Ascian and of her falling sped through her mind.
"Fuck..."
