How to remove encryption settings on a PDF file

Usually a PDFfile containing sensitive and confidential information needs encryption. Using an encryption password on your PDF documents is indeed a sound way of protecting the contents from illicit changes, copying or printing. But what when you don’t want the encryption settings anymore?

The encryptions settings can be created and managed by the file owner in an Adobe Acrobat PDF file. For making changes to an encrypted PDF, you must enter the password in Adobe Acrobat (which is used to create password protected documents). And when it comes to removing the encryption from document, you either need to be the file owner or tie the password along with the document properties.

Steps to remove encryption from PDF File

Below mentioned are the manual instructions for removing encryptions from PDF file:

·  Right-click the PDF file.

·  Choose, Open With.

·  Select Adobe Acrobat from the list.

·   In main toolbar, click the Encryption button.

·   Select Remove Security.

·   Enter the password into the window that appears.

·   Save the document by clicking the Save button.
