Remus truly, utterly felt betrayed.
It was as though he had been struck—swiftly and unforgivingly—by the revelation, as though the world he had so tenderly built around the small, consistent gestures of love had been rendered false in a single breath.
For nearly the entirety of your relationship, he had offered you a bar of chocolate nearly every day, without fail, drawn from the stack he perpetually kept within his satchel or coat pocket. It had become his ritual; his quiet devotion.
And you, his incomparably lovely girl, had always received it with such radiant warmth: a smile that could rival the sun’s gentlest rays, a kiss to his cheek that left him flustered still, even a year into the comfort of your love.
You would unwrap the chocolate bar with familiar eagerness and take a bite, your laughter trailing behind you as you walked toward your next class.
That was all it took for Remus to make certain he never left his dormitory without a piece tucked away—because the joy that bloomed across your face whenever you beamed “Thank you, Remmy,” before pressing your lips to his cheek, was nothing short of a reward in itself.
To him, that small exchange was a thread that stitched itself into the very fabric of your love story.
Which is why, now, standing across from Lily Evans in the quiet corner of the library, Remus could scarcely process the words she had just spoken.
He stared at her, lips parted, his expression caught somewhere between disbelief and silent injury. His voice, when it returned to him, was low and flat. “She hates chocolate?”
The words felt blasphemous, treacherous, as they escaped his mouth.
Lily gave him a look that balanced both sympathy and exasperation, as if she had long anticipated this moment and dreaded being the one to deliver it. "I’m sorry, Remus. I thought you knew. Honestly, I assumed you’d figured it out by now."
He shook his head slowly, brows drawn in quiet confusion. "No, no, that makes absolutely no sense. She eats it all the time. I give it to her every day, Lily!"
"Yes, Remus," Lily said gently, her tone soft but firm, "because she doesn’t want to hurt your feelings. She knows how much it means to you."
Remus stared at her for a long moment, and something subtle but significant shifted behind his eyes. "But I only ever gave it to her because I thought it made her happy."
"It does," Lily replied, placing a careful hand on his arm. "Because you gave it to her. Not because of what it was."
Remus looked past Lily, eyes unfocused, his thoughts spiraling.
He tried to recall every moment. Every time he had handed you a bar of chocolate with a gentle smile and a kiss to the temple. Every time you had taken it with a thank-you and a laugh, like it made you happy. It had felt like something sacred between you. He had always thought it was.
"How long have you known?"
"Since forever?" Lily said carefully, watching him. "Everyone knows Y/N hates chocolate, Remus. I thought you did too."
Remus exhaled, a slow and disbelieving sound. He pressed a hand to his mouth as if to ground himself. And then, faintly, as though speaking more to the universe than to her, he murmured, "I have been feeding her tiny instruments of misery every morning like clockwork, and she accepted it with grace I did not deserve."
Lily smiled, but her eyes were soft with understanding. "That’s love, Remus, and it goes both ways. But maybe next time… ask what her favourite treat is."
He gave a faint, breathless laugh, still trying to reconcile the odd ache blooming in his chest. "I will. Merlin, I will."
Which is how Remus, now two days later, found himself back in routine, standing just outside your arithmancy classroom with his hands tucked into the pockets of his trousers, waiting for you.
The hallway smelled like parchment and ink and something faintly sweet from the kitchens, and when you emerged—laughing at something one of your friends said—Remus stood a little straighter.
Your eyes found him instantly, bright and warm as ever, and you gave him that smile, the one that always made his chest feel too full.
"Hey, dovey," he murmured as you reached him, wrapping an arm around your shoulder in a quick hug. "How was your day?"
You beamed, already beginning to ramble as the two of you started walking down the corridor, hands laced. "It was so boring in the morning, but then Slughorn paired me with Mary for the new potion, and we actually didn’t mess it up for once. And oh, you know that weird Ravenclaw boy who always brings pickles to class? He—"
God, Remus had never been more in love.
He let you talk, content to let the sound of your voice wash over him like sunlight through a window on a cold morning. Your fingers stayed laced with his, as you gently swung your joined hands back and forth in that familiar rhythm you always slipped into when you were truly happy.
In that moment, with your laughter filling the space between you, Remus was especially happy to know that you were happy with him.
You suddenly paused mid-sentence and looked up at him with a soft frown. "Wait—what about you, Rem? How are you? Does your knee still hurt?"
His heart tugged at the way you remembered. He gave your hand a squeeze and shook his head. "No, love, it’s alright. I wrapped it up this morning. Feels much better today."
"Good," you said, then smiled when he reached into his satchel.
He pulled out a neatly wrapped little bar and offered it to you. "Brought you something."
Your eyes lit up at first, the way they always did when he gave you something, but then you blinked, taking the bar from his hand.
“This wrapping looks… different,” you said curiously, turning it over. “Did you change the chocolate brand?”
Remus didn’t say anything at first. He just watched you, his expression soft as ever, fondness written in every line of his face.
You unwrapped the bar, expecting the familiar scent of cocoa, but instead—
"Wait—this is caramel?" you said, sniffing.
"Mhm." he hummed, the sound low and pleased.
You looked up at him like he’d just handed you a puzzle you weren’t expecting. “Since when do you get caramel?”
He just smiled, slipping his hands into his coat pockets as he leaned a little closer, shoulder brushing yours with that casual, familiar ease that always made your heart skip.
“Thought I’d switch it up,” he said lightly, like it was nothing — even though, from the way he glanced sideways at you, it clearly wasn’t nothing at all.
You took a slow bite, still suspicious, but your eyebrows rose as soon as the caramel hit your tongue. “Oh! Wait—this is actually… really, really good.”
Remus turned his head just enough to catch your reaction, a satisfied smile playing on his lips. “I had a feeling you’d think so.”
You narrowed your eyes at him, lips twitching. “You’re being weird.”
“Am I?” he asked, all innocence and wide-eyed mischief.
You nudged him lightly with your elbow, the wrapper still in your other hand. “A little.”
He laughed under his breath, then reached over to gently swipe a bit of caramel from the corner of your mouth with his thumb. The touch was warm and brief, but it made your breath catch just slightly.
“So,” he murmured, “does that mean I should make a permanent switch to caramel?”
Truthfully, Remus had sworn to himself he’d never let you near chocolate. Especially now, with the knowledge Lily had casually dropped like a grenade two days ago, everything made horrifying sense. The way you’d force a smile, the slight wince you tried to hide, the polite little nod as you bit into something you clearly couldn’t stand.
But you were also you. And so, despite that little white lie he was keeping tucked behind a caramel-flavored peace offering, he couldn’t help teasing you anyway.
You rambled before you could stop yourself. “I mean—I don’t mind anything from you, obviously. I just think the caramel’s a really nice change from the chocolate, y’know? But of course I’d love whatever you gave me. Really. I just think this one is, like, such a good choice, Rem.”
Remus blinked in surprise, then laughed—an unrestrained, genuine sound that rose before he could stop it. His heart pulled tight in his chest, aching in that soft, familiar way it always did around you.
Because of course, even now, even with your clear dislike for chocolate, you’d still accept it if it came from him.
You’d eat something you couldn’t stand just to make him happy. You’d sweeten your words, cover the truth in kindness, and act like it didn’t bother you at all.
And here you were now, flustered and stammering and still trying to be gentle about the switch, just in case it hurt his feelings.
He looked at you like you were the most precious thing on earth. “Well then,” he said softly, “I guess caramel it is, dovey.”
You brightened immediately, smiling so wide it made Remus feel like he could float.
You stood on your tiptoes without thinking, pressing a kiss to his cheek. “Thank you, Remmy!”
And as always, he blushed.
Truth be told, Remus didn’t mind carrying two different bars in his pockets now—chocolate for himself, caramel for you. Because in the end, he still got his soft little “thank you, remmy,” still earned his daily kiss on the cheek, and—most of all—he still got to watch you smile like he’d hung the stars just for you.
Yeah. The switch was definitely worth it, if only to become a blushing mess over you all over again.

“Look Moons, the babies are sleeping.”
Remus raises his gaze from his book to see his two lovers snuggled up with one another on the couch. James lay on his back, one arm cushioning his head and the other holding you to his chest. He’s snoring, as he does, and your head rises and falls to the rhythm of his breaths.
Remus claps his book shut and hands it to Sirius curled up beside him. Sirius’ brows furrow as if he were presented with an alien object, which- well, perhaps he was. He’s soon distracted when Remus stands from the armchair- his boyfriend whines and grabs at him- and moseys across the living room. Despairingly, Sirius watches as Remus slides his arm under James’ body and adds his own legs to the entanglement of limbs.
“Moony- Moony!” Sirius whisper-shouts, upper body splayed pathetically on the floor. “Moony come here; I’m cold; there’s no space for you anyway.”
“Nonsense.” Remus replies, as his entire butt falls off the edge of the couch.
Sirius huffs indignantly. He glares a moment before opening Remus’ book, tossing the bookmark but noting the page number. “Traitor.”

While period pains and cramps are unfortunately very common for girls your age yours are just a little different for the average ones, they're nearly debilitating.
If your lucky, curling up in the fetal position with your darling boyfriend Remus behind you holding the curve of your underbelly and a hot water bottle makes the first few days bearable enough it get through it.
However. There are times where that doesn't work, and pain potion doesn't work, and the 2 pills of muggle meds doesn't work either and you're left in utter pain, stubborn and irritable to your lover who just wants to help.
You feel bad of course, but being stubborn as hell for an hour and a half you flat out refuse more medicine than you deem necessary because your of the belief that you'll eventually find a position that eases your uterus.
...
And the position you find this time is standing and walking around. Which is simply not going to work cause you're already tired. ... you tried it of course for a solid 10 minutes,
Did not work.
So you reread the label of the muggle medicine and take 3 more pills.
You find the best position after that with a blanket and pillow on the floor, in the end passing out on your side for a solid 3 hours.
Remus of course, laying beside you and rubbing your side, mildly uncomfortable himself but overall relieved you finally found some relief as he could tell you were nearly going to start crying and lose your mind from the pain.
When you wake up it's uncomfortable, but manageable. A hand wrapped around you in a comforting gesture.
You turn your head slowly, a lazy, exhausted smile tugging on your lips as your hand comes up and rests against his on your side.
"Hi Love.." you hum, voice a little broken and quiet from sleep.
"Hi Lass.." he responds just as quietly, his own smile pulling through at your apparent relief.
You sit like that for a few minutes, then Carefully shift onto your other side to curl up into him on the floor, your leg wrapping around him, already rather clingy after the relief set in.
While of course Remus loved you and loved your clingyness, he didn't exactly love laying on the hard stone floor over a thin blanket.
"... Lass do you think it'd be more comfortable cuddling in bed?" He asked carefully, arms already wrapped around you completely.
That received a whinish groan from you of course. "Mhhh.. it would.. but I don't wanna get up and risk it.." you reason quietly, though the bed does sound rather comfortable.
He sighed but smiled, rubbing your back for a moment more before carefully shifting with his arms around you and standing with you in his arms. Carrying you the short distance to bed, carefully laying you down.
The slight pout that immediately formed on your lips after he let you go soothed the moment he joined you in bed, causing you to curl up and practically wrap your body around his all over again.
"your like a big stuffed animal.." you mumble into him, head already buried in his chest as his arms wrap around you in turn, once more rubbing your back soothingly with one hand, the other curling up into your hair and massaging your scalp.
"yeah?.. well then I s'pose I get to have you after a bad day.." he hums, smiling and pressing and kiss to the crown of your head, resting his chin atop you afterwards.
A giggle slips through your lips at that "you already have me after a bad day for either of us.." lifting your head to look up at him from that.
His eyes soften (if they could anymore with how much love and care he felt for you already) "I know, I'm only joking love"
You sigh and shake your head, smiling, ready to give a sweet rebuttal but are cut off by a loving kiss to your lips, to which you respond easily. Melting into into him when his hand comes up to tenderly cup and caress your cheek.
It's like a balm to your soul of utter reassurance of love and care.
When your lips part you just smile, rebuttal long gone as you bury your head back into his chest. Both of you utterly content and relaxed.
Bonus content:
Remus was the first of the marauders to learn about periods purely because he freaked the fuck out when Lily and you smelled like blood and saw no bleeding in 3rd year, (because werewolf and heightened senses y'know) you both gave the shorthanded explanation.
He freaked out even more when you passed out in the middle of class right beside him.
He proceeded to learn everything about periods that day and honestly assumed James, Sirius, and Peter already knew about periods and NEVER mentioned it to them.
They did not until a few years later.
I also feel like Remus would NEVER make fun of you or any other girl or joke about periods at all, cause honestly? He immediately connected it to his own transformations into a werewolf during the full moon.
One time when the other boys were joking about periods and weren't taking it seriously (pun not intended) he got genuinely angry at them and told them off, and you know remus, the soft boy who rarely gets angry to tell someone off. ... It scared the boys shitless and set them straight real quick.

So I'll be honest.. this is my third onshot/drabble, idk the term anymore it's been a long time man. (IM NOT THAT OLD I SWEAR 😭) The second one is uh. It's Christmas themed and Its not quite finished yet but I was wondering your guys opinions on releasing a Christmas fic/ oneshot in June.
Anyways, thank you for reading, all reblogs and comments are appreciated, I hope all my fellow period pill popping girls feel better! (Pms pills ofc.)

you weren't trying to hide your new relationship with remus from the other boys, but you weren't exactly telling them. your demeanor around each other hadn't changed much other than the fact that you two were kissing regularly and were stuck to each other like glue. the boys didn't really notice when remus would go to the library every night, in fact he had done it for years, but now it also included you coming with him to spend some time alone together.
it had been a few weeks since remus had kissed you in the common room and since then, you two had talked about being official and you truly didn't understand how you hadn't done this earlier. you got to spend even more time with your favorite person and snog them?? amazing.
rem had been glowing with a permanent smile etched onto his face and he wasn't sure how the boys hadn't noticed. he practically had his hand glued to your thigh anytime you sat down next to him. it was heaven for remus. now that he had become much more comfortable with touching you, he never realized how soft your thighs were and how much he loved them. he probably could write poetry about your thighs and it still wouldn't do them justice.
james started noticing something was off when remus came back one night to the dorm and had the stupidest, blissed out look on his face. and was that a little hickey forming on the side of his neck??? why is he smiling like that when the full moon is in 2 day? it just made no sense. the next day, james kept a close eye on moony. the day before full moons were usually hell for him, and yet moony woke up with a soft smile and an eagerness to start the day. he could tell he was still in a little pain, but instead of being a pain in the ass and a dick to the rest of the boys, he just said good morning, got ready, and headed down to the great hall for breakfast with the rest of the boys on his heels.
james wasn't the only one who noticed this mood, but was seem to be the only one who thought it was odd. "i think he must be really starting to adjust to the full moons?" pads suggested. james agreed in the moment, but continued to watch him carefully for the rest of the day to figure this out.
---
that lunch was revealing for james. he had a theory but hadn't had the time to test it yet. when lunch came, he found you at the table with the rest of the gang, sirius on your left and a seat open for who he would assume would be remus. however, james decided to disregard that and sit directly next to you. you looked up, face falling a tad before you caught it realizing it wasn't rem. you smiled at james, not wanting to make him feel bad for sitting next to you.
james made polite conversation with you until remus came to the table and froze. when he realized james was in his place, he took some breaths and made his way to across the table from you. he was pissed but was trying to stay calm in the midst of his anger by telling himself he could see your face better now.
when remus dropped into the seat across from you, your cheeks almost burst from the smile that appeared on your face. his own face softening at your excitement to see him. james observed all of this from the seat next to you and felt that his suspicions had to be right. remus had made it out of the friend zone and didn't have the decency to tell his best blokes. sirius was going to have to hear about this.
---
later that afternoon, pads had gotten back from his classes and was slumped over in the seat he normally occupied with the group after classes. james had practically sprinted there to beat remus and you from classes so he could tell his theory to pads. to sirius' shock and bewilderment that remus wouldn't tell his roommates and best friends the news they had been waiting on forever, sirius decided that it was time to put remus to the test.
a few moments later, you had both walked in to the common room, smiles on your faces like you had both won the muggle lottery. sirius in all his fanfair shot from the chair and scooped you up into a hug. "flea!!! you don't know how much i've missed you today!!" he set you down on the couch. "i have great news. i told a bloke he could go out on a date with you and trust me you're going to love him!!"
you spluttered only now just recovering from the hug and being put on the couch. you burst out into an inappropriate giggle, not knowing what to respond to siri with. "the hell she will be!" remus shouted, pushing sirius back a few steps from you at the couch. "bun is not going on any date and not yours to pick up and set somewhere. and if you touch her again we're going to have a problem." remus seemed to puff outwardly by the minute and you had never heard him this serious in his life.
"I KNEW IT" james yelled. "i told you him and y/n are together!! did i not call it?"
remus instantly froze, realizing from sirius' shit eating grin that he was messing with you both.
"come on. did you not think that we wouldn't mess with you?? you should of told us sooner!" sirius teased. remus, against his will, quirked a smile and walked back over to you on the couch grabbing you thigh closest to him.
"i was going to tell you all, but honestly wanted to see how long it would take for you to notice." remus smirked. you shook your head while the boys continued to tease each other, knowing that you two would never hear the end of it.
can i pls request remus being jealous and (non-toxically lol) possessive when seeing reader with someone else 🫣
Hello!!! I'm so sorry this took so long to get out, this week has been completely out of control for some reason. But here it is! I hope you enjoy! Thank you for requesting. My ask box is open.
Wc: 1k
Cw: It's just fluff, a few swear words
He was already having a bad day, the full moon looming close, only two days away. His day started at 5:30, with James throwing around his quidditch equipment, claiming he was late for his daily training. Then when he finally managed to fall back asleep, he didn't hear his alarm go off, making him late for potions, his least favourite subject. Thankfully Slughorn didn't give him a hard time, unlike Snape, who had made fun of his brewing abilities. And no matter how much Lily had helped him to finish and pass the assignment, his mood hadn't improved; it actually soured, thinking he was useless at potions kept distracting him from his other classes. So when lunchtime came, he was in an even worst mood than before.
Remus sits next to Sirius, who is excitedly talking with James, Marlene and Peter. He pinches his nose, feeling a headache growing at his temples. His eyes open to see his girlfriend talking with Adam, a Ravenclaw he is sure has had a crush on the sweet girl since first year. His brow furrows as he watches the boy touch her arm in what appears to be more than a friendly gesture.
He stands up, ready to stomp his way over there and give the blonde boy a piece of his mind. Before he can take a step, James' voice interrupts him.
"Where are you going, Moony?"
The curly-haired boy turns around to see where his friend's eyes were directed.
"Moons," James turns back to him "You're going to be upset if you go over there and cause a scene."
"No, I'm not."
"The full moon is in two days." James gives him a knowing look that makes him sit back down. Remus knows that in the days before the full moon, he becomes irritable and explosive when pushed.
"I hate that guy." His eyes roll as an unpleasant look forms on his face. "He is always all over her, and she is too fucking nice to tell him to sod off."
"I know." James' voice is gentle in understanding. "If it makes you feel better, I'll knock off his broom next week when we play against Ravenclaw." A mischievous smile forms on his face.
Remus can't help his own smile at his friend's attempt at making him feel better; and at the image of Adam falling off his broom too.
"Sure, just make it look like an accident."
"I'm the best at making things seem like accidents." The boy gives him a wink before he takes a sip of his juice.
His eyes divert back to the pair, who are still talking by the entrance of the Great Hall. Remus' patience seems to wear out even faster when he sees the stiffness of her body. She's still smiling, but as time goes on, it seems more forced; she keeps moving her body to the Gryffindor table, clearly trying to end the conversation. But as the blonde keeps talking, she returns to her previous place just to do this awkward dance again. Deciding he's had enough, Remus gets up and stomps to them.
"Hey, love." His voice is sweet, unlike his eyes that send a murderous glance to Adam.
"Remus!" She turns to him, a smile plastered on her face. She opens her arms and hugs his neck, pulling him down to her height. "Get me out of here." She whispers in his ear.
Remus breaks the hug and smiles down at her as he tucks a rouge strand of hair behind her ear.
"Yes, hello, Remus." Says Adam through tight lips.
"Yes. Hi. I'm going to take my girlfriend away now, goodbye." He quickly turns on his heels, pulling her with him.
"Remus! That was rude!" She chastises him in a low voice when they are far away from the boy who is standing in his spot, mouth agape.
"I don't care." He grunts. "Come on, I know you're hungry. I saved you a spot." He turns to her with a smile.
With a sigh and shake of her head, they arrive at the table. Remus pulls out her chair so she can sit and then takes his own sit.
"Stop being cute, I'm trying to be upset with you."
"I'm not being cute, I'm just trying to take care of you." He grabs her hand and kisses it, making her grunt and hide her face with her other hand.
"This is being cute, Lupin." Accusing eyes stare at him. "You were rude to Adam."
"The bastard was making you uncomfortable."
"He wasn't making me uncomfortable."
"He wasn't letting you leave." He says in a knowing voice.
"Okay, he wasn't." She concedes. "But, he was just being friendly." Her statement is met with a snort and a roll of Remus' eyes. "You're just jealous."
"I am." He says easily as he leans on her shoulder, letting his nose tangle in her hair. "You'd be jealous too if you had the most amazing woman all to yourself." She giggles, making him smile.
"I have the most amazing guy, though." Her hand finds the back of his head.
"I'm sorry I was mean, I get possessive sometimes." His soft voice reaches her ears.
"I like how possessive you are, but maybe next time be a little bit nicer." He takes a deep breath, inhaling her scent, allowing it to calm him.
"I'll try when it's not so close to the full moon." He pulls back just enough to kiss her lips.
"Are you guys going to eat each other instead of the food, or what?" Sirius' voice makes them pull apart.
"Shut up, pads. They're having a moment." James interrupts his teasing, making her laugh. Everything seems to be better now, maybe he just needed her to turn his bad day good.
you find your introverted boyfriend, remus, hiding from a party.
remus x fem!reader
warnings: none!
Remus is hiding around the shady side of Lily and James’ house, expression guilty the moment he sees you.
You beam reassuringly. “Hiya.”
“Hey- I’m sorry,” He says. You cock your head; he’s always so adamant that you not apologise, it’s amusing when he falls into the trap himself. Before you can call him out on it, he continues, “Warranted apology, sweetheart. I was being plagued by Peter’s aunt Mathilda and I abandoned you completely.”
“It’s alright, Remus,” You step forwards, hands behind your back. A perk of having a boyfriend who sneaks off during parties is the joy of finding him in private places like this. You’d used to worry that you were intruding, only he’d assured you that your presence is one of the select few he’s not avoiding. “I’ve been having a lovely time discussing how to get the most out of a lemon tree with Mr Evans.”
Remus smiles fondly, meeting you in the middle and wrapping his arms around your waist. “Have you?”
“M-hm.”
“Darling girl, we don’t have a lemon tree. Do you think we ought to get one?”
You think for a moment. Remus watches your expression, wishing he had a photograph of you in this (and every) moment, all sunkissed and happy. “I don’t think so,” You decide. “We haven’t the space and if we did, neither of us like lemons enough to find a whole tree useful.”
“Probably true.” You stand on your tip-toes to kiss him, hands laced around the back of Remus’ neck. He presses his hand affectionately to your cheeks- the skin there is still warm. “Are you burnt?”
“Not terribly,” You admit, smiling guiltily at his raised eyebrows. “The sun’s not nearly so fierce anymore. I have aloe vera in the glovebox of your car, we can get it if you’re ready to head home.”
Remus laughs softly, more out of affection than anything. He’d want you forever in the summer, warm and tasting of fruit punch, if you weren’t equally lovely in the wintertime when he can dress you in his jumpers and share hot chocolates.
“I don’t want to pull you away from the party,” He says. It’s not the whole truth; if he could take you home this moment and kiss you more than would be appropriate down the side of his best friends’ house, he would, but you’re so outgoing and he’d hate to cut your day short.
“Plenty of people are leaving,” You assure him, as if you can read his mind. He wouldn’t put it past you. “We won’t be hurting any feelings. You’ve valiantly made it through six entire hours, I’m very impressed.”
Remus doesn’t feel very valiant, tempted as he is by the thought of a book on the sofa with your feet in his lap. He hates the idea that he’s dulling your happiest moments for you, irritated by even the dearest of his friends far more quickly than you are. You’re really the only person who has the opposite effect; he can’t seem to be around you enough, even when you’re right in front of him.
“I’ll find a way to help inside.”
“No, don’t,” You shake your head. “I’m happy to head off. Just give me a moment to say goodbye?”
You’re so sweet that Remus has to press another kiss to your soft lips, knowing he has at least another half-hour before you’re finished bidding farewell to the small crowd on the lawn and not minding in the least. “Of course, lovely girl.”
“Thanks, lovely boy,” You laugh softly, mirroring his gentle tone and holding his face tenderly in both hands. “I’m excited to tell you the gossip I learned.”
He raises his eyebrows, intrigued. As little as Remus enjoys having the conversations wherein he would learn gossip for more than a moment, he very much likes hearing you relaying news from your group of friends to him in front of the telly.
“I’ll meet you by the car,” He says, reluctantly letting go of you. You smile.
he's got long fingers and his hands are really warm
and you just can't keep your eyes off the veins running from his arm to his hands
Remus knows this
but he doesn't know if you know he knows
it's not exactly a secret though
you hold his hand whenever you get the chance
all of Hogwarts can see you walking down the halls with your fingers entwined with his
or during class
your professors have made remarks about it many times
but you both always insist it helps you focus
its really not a lie
"Mr. Lupin, Ms. (y/l/n)! Trust me, you'll be much more capable in making potions if you have both hands free."
Remus looks up from the book he's holding open with his left hand, his right clasped in yours, and blinks innocently up at Slughorn. "But Professor, I do my best work with one hand-"
Professor Slughorn puts a hand in his coat pocket and glances between you and your boyfriend. You hide a smile by busying yourself arranging the ingredients by color, and you miss the miniscule upturn of your teacher's lips.
"Well, we'll see how your potion turns out. Mr. Black, perhaps you'd like to consider investing more attention in your potion instead of in your classmates' love life." With these remarks, he moves on to the next desk.
Sirius Black, ever the rebel, leans over and whispers conspiratorially with a smirk, "If you keep this up, you might even beat Marlene and Dorcas in being voted 'most likely to get marri-'"
He's cut off by Remus smacking him with the book in his left hand.
sometimes you also just use his hands as a heating pad
like when your own are cold
or when you're having period cramps
just grab your boyfriend's hands
he doesn't mind one bit
even if it sometimes results in... unexpected reactions
bonus though: it comes with cuddles
There's something about being snuggled up to your partner that eases the pain of periods. Maybe it's magic, maybe it's psychological... you don't know what it is, but when you're menstruating, Remus already knows he may be dragged over to hold you until you feel better.
That's how you find yourself in this position, sitting between your boyfriend's legs with his hands pressed to your belly, the warmth easing your discomfort just enough to have you sighing in content. Remus has his textbook open next to him, but turns his head every so often to press a kiss to your cheek where you rest your head against his shoulder.
"Moony, McGonagall said- woah! Lovebirds, get a room!" Sirius slaps a hand over his eyes the moment he sees how his friend's hands are up your shirt, a second too soon to notice said friend's deadpan glare.
"She's on her period, you twat. Get your head out of the gutter, Pads, what'd McGonagall say?"
"Yeah, yeah. Have fun, you two. Don't do anything I wouldn't. Or... anything Lily wouldn't." With a wink at the both of you, he's out the door again, ignoring Remus' deep sigh before he kisses you in apology.
another thing you love to do with his hands is kissing them when he least expects it
or anytime, really
just a soft kiss to his knuckles or his palm
you think its adorable how he gets flustered
no matter how many times you do it
he can never hide his grin
maybe you're a little in love with his hands
but he thinks he quite likes it
its cute to watch you tracing the scars over his hands
or to watch you playing with his fingers while you cuddle
oooo if you want Remus maybe Remus x reader where reader faints - 🥧

It’s warm in the garden.
You’re not entirely sure how Remus is managing to read so calmly in the deckchair beside you whilst you feel as though you’re being cooked alive. The two of you are under the parasol, but it’s not doing much to alleviate your discomfort. You’re hot, clammy in all the worst places. Your shirt is sticking to your skin and your eyes are starting to hurt from how bright everything feels. You haven't turned the page in your book for ten minutes now, struggling to make sense of the sentences before you.
After a while of you fidgeting in an attempt to get comfy, Remus turns his head to look at you, long fingers holding the pages of his book open.
“You okay, dove? You’re not too hot are you?”
Remus, you know, quite likes sitting in the sun and being warm. He feels the cold easily and it bothers him, even though he’s not one to complain often. You don’t want him to have to come out of the sun when warm days have been so few and far between recently so you give him a small smile. “I’m okay. Just a little warm.”
He nods, but the small furrow in his brow gives away the beginnings of worry.
“Have you been drinking enough today? You might be dehydrated.”
You think back to the past hours and realise you haven’t been drinking nearly as much as you should be in this kind of heat. Remus almost always has ice tea or water next to him, but you can’t even remember the last time you had something to drink.
“Yeah, I think that might be it. I’ll go and get a drink now. Would you like anything?”
Remus folds over the edge of his page and shuts his book. “I’ll join you, dovey. It’s getting a bit too warm out here for me too.”
You’re not sure if he means it or if he’s just saying it for your sake. Knowing Remus, it could be either. He’s always so astoundingly kind with you. You don’t doubt for a moment that he’d sacrifice his own comfort to spend more time with you.
He’s up before you are, standing over you and outstretching his hand for you to take and pulling you up with ease. You go willingly into his chest, Ignoring how your head spins at the sudden motion and pushing your face into his t-shirt.
Remus’s lips move to rest against your forehead smoothly. He hums against your skin.
“You are quite warm, my love. Let’s get you inside, yeah?”
Overcome with a slow, creeping tiredness, you nod.
Remus doesn’t wait any longer to usher you inside and into the kitchen. A sigh of relief escapes you at the feeling of cool tiles under your feet. Without much grace, you slump into the closest chair as Remus busies himself behind you. He might be getting you some water, but you’re not completely sure. Your body seems to be struggling to adjust to the sudden temperature change, and it’s making you feel nauseous.
You shift in your seat to tell him so, but the action makes your nausea increase and all of a sudden, you’re feeling awfully unmoored. Remus turns at that moment, glass in hand. You make to stand so that you can take it from him, but your legs become shaky underneath you. You think Remus tells you to sit you down again as he places the water on the table, but you don’t have time to reach out to grab hold of something before you’re falling.
Something that sounds like your name falls from Remus’s lips and it sounds warped and wrong. The world blurs around you and then, nothing
You come to in bits and pieces.
The first thing you notice is that you're lying on your back, head pillowed by something soft. The next is that Remus is leaning over you, panicked eyes scanning your own. His hands are on you too, one on your face whilst the other rubs gentle circles into the fat of your hip. There’s something cold and wet on your forehead.
“Hey, hey, dovey,” Remus murmurs, thumb moving to sweep over your cheek. His index and middle finger are tucked behind your ear, smoothing down the soft baby hairs there. “How are you feeling?”
You start to reply, but it comes out low and tangled. When you try again, Remus shushes you gently.
“It’s alright, take your time, okay? We’re not in any rush.”
You nod and it makes stars flash across your vision. Remus’s hand slips up to brush featherlight over your brow, the tips of his fingers pushing under the wet towel he must have placed on your forehead. You take inventory of his features as your senses comes back to you, eyes tracing over scars, loose wavy hair, a strong nose. Once he comes into focus a little more you clear your throat.
“What happened?”
Remus makes a sad cooing sound, frowning ever so slightly as he looks down at you.
“You fainted for a few seconds, sweetheart. Gave me a fright.”
“M’sorry.”
He shakes his head, soft and quiet when he speaks. “It’s alright. You’ve got nothing to apologise for.” His fingers haven’t stopped rubbing light circles into your side. “How do you feel?”
In all honesty, you’re not sure. Your head hurts and you still feel nauseous, but you don’t feel scared or as warm as you did before. Not when Remus’s hands feel so kind against your skin. You lean into his touch and close your eyes.
“I’m alright,” you mumble. “Um…I’m starting to feel better I think.”
It’s a shaky truth at best, and it sounds almost like a question as it falls from your lips. But Remus seems so worried, and you hate that you’re the cause of it. After a few more seconds of silence, you open your eyes and try to sit up, but your head starts to spin again, causing you to wince. Remus frets almost instantly, gentle hands moving to push you back down.
“Please just stay like this for a moment longer, okay?”
You move back down into his lap with no protest. “Sorry,” you murmur, chastised. “Did I hit my head?”
“No, dovey. I caught you in time,” he bites his lip, remorseful. “Your side might hurt though. I grabbed you quite roughly.”
Your side doesn’t hurt. Or at least, you can’t feel it right now. You can’t feel much of anything. Remus’s touch is the only thing keeping you grounded as you start to come back to yourself. “My knight,” you smile up at him in an attempt to dispel his worry. Remus smiles back fondly whilst shaking his head.
“Hardly.”
Remus seems to realise then that you’re still sprawled out on the hard kitchen floor. He lifts your head off his lap and places one arm under your shoulders whilst the other tucks under your knees.
His murmurs are forlorn as he lifts you up and puts you down on the settee. “Let’s get you comfortable. Oh, my poor girl. I can’t believe I let you lie on the floor like that. It can’t have been very nice, hm?”
He flips the towel over on your forehead so that the cooler side is against your skin before moving away to get the glass of water he poured you earlier, striking you once again with his tenderness. You’re lucky. Incredibly so, to have found a boy so keen on being there for you and loving on you. You tell him as much and his smile widens, a light blush dusting his cheekbones as he crouches back down by the sofa and hands you the glass.
“Do you think you’re feeling any better now?”
“Yes. Thank you for looking after me.” You look up at him through lidded eyes as you drink. Once you’ve drained it, you hand him the glass and flop back onto your back.
“Can I have a kiss, Rem?”
“Always,” Remus murmurs, “you don’t have to ask, honey.”
His lips press against different spots on your face, starting at your temple, moving down to the corner of your eye, and further still to your nose. Something like a whine escapes you, and you feel Remus smiling against your skin. Finally, his lips are on yours, slow and gentle like he doesn’t want to overwhelm you.
You spend the rest of the afternoon with Remus doting on you.
