when bigots pull out the "but if you can be transgender why can't you be transracial or trans-age" argument, what can I hit em back with

race, unlike gender, is inherited through lineage; your race is made up by factors of who you’re related to and your ancestory. this isn’t true for gender (or even for biological sex components of the body, really). race isn’t something you just “are” it is directly inherited from your ancestory.

age isn’t inherited either, but obviously age is just a measurement of how long somebody has been alive for. even race & gender are more alike than age is to either, because age is just an attribute that increases over time. nobody can be a child “again” because ‘child’ is merely a description of a portion of your life that cannot be revisited, due to the fact that the physical property of time is irreversible.

I know this isn't art related or anything (although I'm a big fan -- so yay!) but I've heard from a lot of people that being a doctor is depressing or repetitive and super tough academically and mentally -- is that true and is being a doctor worth it?

i would say it’s true for some? it’s definitely challenging, but i don’t find it depressing (at least most of the time), which also has a lot to do with my support network - having a team of other doctors who got your back is important, which is why i can’t imagine working outside the hospital wards. medical school already put me in the gear where i always have to study something, so i’m used to it. as you can see, i like getting into games, books, movies, shows, any kind of stories really, share them with my friends and illustrate what i think about them - it’s a great way to take a break both physically and mentally. all in all, my job is tough but i still enjoy it a lot.

Hey, could you rec any fics where Remus or Sirius is lonely and the other watches them invisibly e.g. a ghost, or a fic where Sirius is dead and watches Remus living? I wrote a mini fic like that the other day and now I really want more 😂 Also, really any good post Azkaban fics you haven't recommended before if you can. Thanks x

Hi, I don’t really do rec lists anymore. There is a good one where Sirius comes back from the veil but can’t tell Remus he’s alive yet, so he goes and watches him grieve. That one is The Grim Watch by skyrat. If anyone else has recommendations, feel free to comment!
