COMMS R OPEN - i have a week to spend drawing so go nuts! I can draw multiple characters too but itll be like double the price i think idk man go nuts and ask me on discord
I just had a massive epiphany!!
I realized that the reason many bombermen die is because someone else refused to help them. After analyzing the bodies on Planet Scrapheap, many bodies are fully intact and more than repairable. Pink notes that Pretty was "scrapped". Not "destroyed", they more or less gave up on helping her following the accident, huh? It might've cost many resources, but couldn't many of them be saved?
I think it's like... If you were built for a purpose, and someone determined that you were no longer of use, aren't they basically renouncing your entire life? Would it not hurt if you were left to die, with the knowledge that they could perhaps let you live if they cared enough to do so? It might not be the case for some robotic lifeforms, but Planet Scrapheap strikes me as a dumping ground for trash you no longer care for.
It also makes one think about Plasma; we see his story, that he took great pride in the fact that he lived to protect others, and yet was thrown away like trash. When you get brought back from the dead, and the only thing you can see is that "You were a massive help, but when you could help no longer, you were disposed of", and you are standing on a planet of people who, for all you know, met the same fate; would it not be impossible to feel blinded by anger? If anything, i'm curious as to how the other four thought about it, and how it impacted their feelings about buggler during their time as the dastardlies. Of course, it's more than likely that Plasma's case is not as common as one might think, but if someone gave you a second chance at life...
phantpom + blue is like a comedy to me because they're both weird its just two different kinds of weird. like blue would say some shit like "did you know. that you are expremtely comfortbale. and good for hugginga" point blank and phantom would still be all "ok cool. you are psychological experiment. i am studying your behavior like a roach and while this is feasible i still do not understand why you would say that. and you are also trying to psychological me. so are you playing tricks on me. you trickster"
this goes both ways phantom would say some shit like "do you want to work on this project with me" and blue would be all "hnmmm......ive noticed from youre behavior patterns that you are often egotistical like my older sibling and extremely confident in your abilities. unlike my older brother, though, your attitude has merit because in your land you are worshipped. and when we first met you called me a fool but now you are okay with my presence. hmmmm hmmmmmmm......uoighu....i think "
flight or fight bounging around in my tired little head..who cares if its cheesy...i dont....cuz. what if wite n vic went on goofy silly dates together....like thet had kareoke night ......singing silly little showtunes together or some shit...i dont even know what a showtune is .....
As an eldest sibling and professional loss experiencer i feel like White Super Bomberman R is just going through SO MUCH SHIT at once but he's really well adjusted about it.
For starters Pretty's death completely and utterly messed with him. Before Pretty got scrapped, he used to be way less "serious" about things. Like he was still a cheesy little hero, but it was almost child-like. And then Pretty ate shit and he just CHANGED. Around the time R and R2 takes place he does NOT play about people messing with his siblings partially because of this, and don't even get me STARTED on this guy's weird inferiority complex. Like if his siblings get downed he just gets obliterated sooner or later. He straight up almost burst into tears in that one grand prix cutscene. There are probably countless times before Super R where this guy's just been crying alone thinking about what he could've done differently when Pretty got scrapped. I'm pretty sure Pink's been the only one talking about Pretty Bomber, since Aqua seems to have not known her until Pink brought it up. And Pink was like, really little when Pretty died, so...
But I cannot stress this enough: he is handling this like a CHAMP. This guy's just going through every day with the fate of the world and the safety of his family on his shoulders. He's not bottling up his feelings or anything, he's just handling them in quite possibly the healthiest way I've ever seen for someone in a situation like that. Don't get me wrong he still needs a chill pill but White's a complete TROOPER.
You go, dude.
