☁️✉️ a few alnst cielowill headcanons : not fun, not silly, very much not happy assorted by yours truly !! tw for character death | hallucinations | blood - cielo's name is branded on his chest, right above his heart and will's name is on his right wrist i like this version because cielo is supposed to symbolize extreme feelings, such as love. so his name is right over his heart that loves so much, while will's true self can only be found in words he writes (and since he is right handed, it is on the right side) - cielo's image being sold was that of an angel, come down from the skies. a big part of his appeal was to see that angel either glow or fall. will was supposed to be more doll-like. his personality was supposed to be whatever the audience wanted to see in him. because they met before their on-stage personas were fully ingrained into them, they met as kids with their true personalities still exposed - when will started treating cielo as an angel, something that the aliens had wanted to market him as, they got into a huge fight, which they got over the very next day, that they spent as usual but any time will would fall back into acting like that, cielo would get annoyed - cielo despises not being in control and being able to oversee things. since his guardian and the scientists always left him powerless and at their mercy, he is a little more controlling in his interpersonal relationships than he consciously wants to be. will is used to strict rules and being under surveillance so he never really minded much and even prefered it over having someone let him do as he pleases, which is also why he grew upset over being left to choose and decide things for himself when cielo and him first grew close - the day will died cielo folded the last poem he wrote for him into a paper crane. he carries it in the inside of his pocket in the belief that he has one last thing that the aliens cannot take from him - will used to hallucinate cielo's corpse laying next to him before round 1. as a reminder that if he failed to lose, then cielo had to die and it would be his own fault. it was also the reason he started rehearsing his own death, as the hallucination would leave after he'd feel pain - when they were kids, cielo always tried to get will to laugh or at least smile, by making stupid faces or telling funny stories and jokes. it started to work over time. not because of the jokes being told or the ridiculous faces but because will was happier with cielo present - will's stage costume was initially planned to be multicoloured. in the end, it was changed to fit with cielo's monochrome costume, which was later changed entirely to have will wear white and cielo a dark navy, almost black if not illuminated by light cielo was happy about the costume change because he thought white would fit better for will - after round 1, cielo cannot sleep well anymore. he is afraid to dream of will again, but staying up is just as horrifying because he can sometimes hear a familiar voice at night, humming a song to him as if lulling him to sleep - when they saw each other as kids, they almost instantly became friends. their first "true" emotion was the wish to meet each other again. not all dressed up, as merchandise to be shown around, but as themselves. - cielo gave will a flower when they met a second time. in the stories he had read, the prince always gifts the princess flowers and to him, that was what will had looked like when they had first met. - cielo cant look at red flowers anymore after round 1 because the blood on will's costume reminded him of them and he now associates them with the corpse - not specific to these two but in my alnst x frmm crossover au , the guardians resemble both the aliens and the respective knight's lord. especially here, cielo's guardian has a sort of "swirl" motif to them and will's guardian has mel's patchwork/polcadot motif and her long ears. they are also both friends.
