Although I've visited Renaissance Park in Charlotte several times before, today marked the first time I checked out their mountain bike trails...a section of trail that is (on foot not on wheels). Except for those of us who either choose solitude or are forced into it. Still trying to piece together a solid interpretation of this quote, since it's meaning from Into the Wild could be very different from how I see it. I find it hard to even commit to how I feel about it. In one instance, I see how to be truly happy in life you must share it with others, but also in another, living a solitary life for the past 10 - 12 years has brought happiness, but also a great deal of pain.
