We were very excited to be able to welcome Renata Keating, AKA RENAWRECK, into our chair today to talk about all things Starcrossed, why the water didn’t feel so great for her, and her latest music releases.
“Starcrossed was a wild ride,” she started, eagerly making herself comfortable in the chair. “I didn’t really expect much to come out of it in terms of a relationship or whatever. I’m going to be real. I did it for the coverage.” Her admittance of that was followed by a rather cheeky smile. “What? I’m not afraid to admit that shit.”
When we brought up her encounter with Caden, she shook her head. “He pushed my buttons. It’s as simple as that. Sure I shouldn’t have pushed him to the ground, but what was I supposed to do? Thank him for being an ass?” She rolled her eyes and sighed. “On a semi-serious note, I didn’t take my meds that day. So yeah. That’s my bad.”
Moving onto the situation with Auggie and the kayak, Rena couldn’t help but chuckle her words out. “Oh, she’s something. She. Is. Something. I don’t know what’s wrong with her. She’s, what, two or three years younger than me? But she acts like a ten year old. I’ll be happy to never hear her tell us how the water feels ever again.”
“Starcrossed was fun for the most part. I met a bunch of interesting people. Will I talk to all of them again? Probably not. Maybe I’ll keep in touch with a few. Or maybe I’ll only ever talk to Salem and Cassidy after this. Who knows? I have peoples’ numbers. The one thing you can bet on is I will avoid Caden and Auggie as though they’re the plague.”
After being asked about who her favorite person to meet was on Starcrossed, she pulled a face. “I thought that would be obvious. Salem. Duh. He was one of the most nicest people to me. He actually gave me a little chance. Sure he went off with the one other person I had my eyes on the entire time I was on the show, but that’s whatever at this point. Salem was so kind to me, and he still is.”
RENAWRECK released her latest single ‘Grumpy Old Man’ last week. “It’s a song about being a grumpy old man. I don’t know what else to tell you,” she joked initially, although she did go on to give a little explanation. “It’s a nod to anger. Sometimes people get super defensive and bite back like a grumpy old man that doesn’t want shitty little children on his lawn. Like me. Those children, and any other bitches that annoy me, can fuck off.”
She’s still a fresh face for most people, and likely quite new for a lot of our audience unfamiliar with Starcrossed, but she’s ready to make an impact. “I’ve got a lot of music in my catalogue already just waiting to be released. There’s a lot more to come, including an album. These bitches better be ready for me, because I am breaking into this industry punching and kicking baby!”
We can’t wait to see more from RENAWRECK in the future.
