A Sweater in Rain droplet Weather
Ren sat smiling in the garden. It had just rained a few hours back and she wanted to go out and smell the world. There was just something about rain drying on the ground and its smell just made her smile and want to go out and smell everything.
"Oi Sow!" A voice boomed behind her. Ren nearly jumped off the bench hearing the voice. Of course, she knew who the voice belonged to but it still managed to scare her every time she heard it.
Ren turned around and faced Yuma. "Yuma-san. Don't just sneak up on me like that." She said a bit annoyed. "What would you like of me Master?"
Yuma clicked his tongue. " Don't tell me what to do to MY property Sow! I came out here to see what the hell you are doing in my garden without my permission."
Ren thought about her words carefully before answering him. She didn't want to upset him when all she was trying to do was enjoy the scent that lingered in the air. "I just wanted to smell the air for a while." She answered.
Yuma looked vastly confused by her statement. "Hah? The smell? What about it? All I smell is wet mulch."
Ren giggled at his statement. "Well yes it smells like wet mulch but not all the air. If we were to talk a walk, you would be able to see what I mean." She stated shyly.
"Whatever. As long as you are away from my garden, I don't care what we do. Some come on." Yuma demanded walking away from Ren.
"Wait up!" Ren said jogging up to Yuma's side.
"You walk to slow. What are you trying to show me about the air smell?" Yuma asked looking down on her.
"Since we're a little farther from the garden, the air doesn't smell like mulch that much. What I am trying to show you is that whenever it rains, the air takes up this glorious and rich smell." Ren said happily.
Yuma sniffed the air. "It still smells like mulch Sow." He pointed out. "What do you mean the air takes up a glorious and rich smell?"
She pondered her thoughts for a moment. "Well Master, it's hard to explain. You just know what I mean when you smell it." She answered. A quick shiver went up her spine from the coolness of the air, catching Yuma's attention.
"You cold Sow?" Yuma asked.
Ren shook her head. "No Yuma-san, I am just fine."
"Tch. I told you about lying haven't I?" He inquired as he began to take his sweater off and pass it to her. "Here. Throw this on. I don't want you catching any colds Sow. Sick blood isn't good blood."
She blushed at his kindness. "T-thank you Yuma-san."
"Don't mention it." He replied. "Oi Sow. I finally smell that smell you're talking about."
"Really?" She asked happily.
"Isnt it a wonderful smell?"
"Not as wonderful as the smell of your blood Sow."
Ren blushed at what she believed was a compliment and continued their walk in quiet. Enjoying every moment of this precious time just like Yuma was.
