Movie of the week: Girls Of The Sun - I attended a couple of screenings at the Walter Reade Theater in NYC, during its annual Rendezvous With Cinema festival with @unifrance. This film told the story of two women. One, named Bahar, was a lawyer turned soldier, who led a squad of other female fighters. The other, named Mathilde, was photojournalist assigned to tell her story. It was received at the Cannes film festival, but so much when screened here in the U.S. Sometimes, you have to ignore the critics and judge a movie for yourself. I thought it was very well done.
