happens during class, in the middle of the more boring lecture EVER. You've been friends with Renjun for a while now, but what he doesn't know is that you absolutely adore him and have the biggest crush on him of all time. What you don't know, is that he feels the exact same way towards you.

So when he invites you to sit next to him before the lecture starts, anyone could tell from both your awkwardness and shy smiles that you two are definitely harboring feelings for each other. No doubt.

But now, you can barely think about that, when your professor is moving on with the lecture way too quickly for all his students. You're rushing to take notes, fearing that if you miss anything you'll completely fail this class.

Renjun, on the other hand, is more focused on trying to stay awake. His eyes are droopy, and he can barely hear or process anything properly. God, he needs to wake up.

He reaches out to his water bottle, maybe if he drank some water, he would wake up. At that moment, you reach out for your eraser somewhere next to you, scrambling blindly as your other hand still works to write everything your professor is explaining.

A moment later, your hands completely stop, as instead of the feeling of rubber in your hands, it's something warm, something... soft.

You turn your head, and find that your hand has completely knocked into Renjun's hand, your pinkies intertwined. Your eyes widen, as they shift from your hands, to Renjun's face, and he's... completely red.

Yeah, he's definitely awake now.

mmmm no yeah so renjun is never going to reach out for his waterbottle, and you resort to just scribbling the word out.

before he realizes his feelings he treats you just like all his friends, scowling at you when you do anything remotely affectionate to him like trying to smooch his face and such

BUT LIKE IDK THERES SOMETHING DIFFERENT ABOUT YOU,,,, you're you, not haechan, or jaemin, or anyone else so when you start doing things like spending more time with him, buying him things, and caring for him he feels... strange. which is quite odd, because all his friends treat him just like you do, what's so different this time??

he realizes his blooming feelings for you when you suddenly worry him by being out a little too late. He's so worried, why is he so worried? you've always stayed out late, studying at the library, or going for a late night grocery run, why is so worried?

the moment you come home with all your textbooks and study equipment, you don't even notice renjun, not until he springs up from his seat on your study chair to help you with your things. "Jesus Christ, Y/n! I get that you feel more motivated at night, but at least tell me when you're gonna be out! God, I was so scared,"

You're completely taken aback at his sudden outburst, overwhelmed at the sight of a different side of renjun, one you're not quite familiar with. "I'm sorry," There's something in your voice, guilt, and the crease at your eyebrows that show genuine sadness tugs at Renjun's heart. It's at that moment, when he realizes how much he cares for you, when he also realizea that he may care for you a little too much.

"No, don't apologize, I was just overreacting." Surprisingly, Renjun's arms circle around you, and he brings you in a warm embrace.

WHEN THE OTHERS NOTICE,,, OOOHH BOY THEY WILL JOT LET HIM LIVE

they notice when Renjun complies to tutoring you with 0 complaints, with a bashful smile when you say he has more brain cells than Einstien. The moment you're walking away, Donghyuck's reaching over the table to slap at Renjun's back. "YOU TOTALLY HAVE A CRUSH ON Y/N!"
