Mark Cohen is Autistic

Why don't I see more of this? It honestly fits so perfectly. It explains why Mark is so obsessed with his film and his camera despite working on his film for six years and getting nowhere with it (as mentioned in the demo and workshop versions of the show). It explains why he disconnects from other people so much, why he doesn't seem to always realize that he's offending people with his actions until he's called out on it (as shown when he films the homeless lady or the times when he brings up April and her suicide in a blatant and straightforward matter). This also fits of we assume his mother has autism too! Since she calls repeatedly despite her son never calling back. It works if we assume that she is hyper empathetic, which is why she worries so much about Mark to the point of being a little smothering to him. Just give me autistic Mark Cohen
