I just got the mental imagine of it being a Hellhound puppy that chose him, lol. I don’t know why it just sorta popped in my head.

Dude I had that thought last night. I was laughing because I have a headcanon that because of Lucifer and the left over grace in him, Nick can see a lot of supernatural things that most people can't see. And Hellhounds is one of them.

And the hellhound, being raised by a human on earth, is more affectionate and like a normal dog, than a hellhound raised in hell. So there was this image of someone knocking on the door and the hellhound getting excited and running toward the door and Nick has to run after it and hold it by the scruff of it's neck and answer the door with one hand. And the person at the door can't see the hellhound, so Nick's just holding something invisible and he's like, "Uh, it's my dog. Heh." and they look at him like he's fucking nuts because there is nothing there. So they have him sign for something he does and and then he shuts the door and looks at the hellhound like, "I gotta train you better, you huge dope."

Nick was so out of it. He wasn’t himself. If you’d asked him who he was he’d say Lucifer. That’s the alter he was today. And Lucifer had very little patience for harassers. So he was taking care of the problem. He’d knocked the guy out, tied him up, blindfolded him (so he’d never see what he looked like), and was now straddling his hips and threatening to stab a sharp object right through his neck. He sounded rather excited by the prospect of doing so.

And he’d just been about to. It was about that time that someone walked in. Just his luck. He looked at the person who’d just walked in. Great. Now he was gonna have to stop. He didn’t need his ‘vessel’ getting in trouble later. Otherwise he wouldn’t be able to do it again. So, much to the harasser’s luck, he stopped. For now.
