Laos fully reopens plan, May 1st, 2022
Finally, after two years of border closures, Green Zone Travel Plans, Green Passes, KYC Applications, and countless announcements of potential reopenings, Laos has painfully inched closer to a full reopening, with the hopes and dreams of travelers flung about at every turn.
The official reopening plan with full entry details has been approved late today and will be announce tomorrow. Here are the main points
1️⃣ Reopening date: May 1st, 2022
2️⃣ Entry requirements
✅ All travelers are all welcomed including traveling via a local travel agency or independent travelers.
✅ The travelers must have vaccination proof or the proof of recover from Covid-19 (Except the travelers age under 18)
✅ The travelers with vaccination proof and the traveler under 5 will not need pre-arrival RT-PCR
✅ The one without vaccination proof will need to have RT-PCR test no more than 72 hours before boarding the flight to Laos.
✅ All travelers need to have rapid test upon arrival and wait for result at accommodation. The waiting time is no more than 1 hour.
✅ Reinstate visa system same as before Covid (visa on arrival / evisa / free visa)
✅ The travelers need to buy travel / health insurance with minimum coverage no less than $10,000
