Hellooo! I just wanted to tell you a little bit about why I’m extra excited for our girl TayTays concert on AUGUST 4TH!! It’s only 18 DAYS AWAY and I’m highkey losing my mind but YEAH ok so story time!

I actually moved to Toronto on my own when I was 17 to attend University. It was super terrifying but as per usual, when in doubt - listen to Taylor’s music! It helped me get through this new stage in my life and for that, I’m extremely grateful. But, what helped me get through this even more was my best friend, Kirsten. I met her my first day moving in, and ya know what we bonded over? TAYLOR! We would blast her music all day every day in our little residence apartment, and keep each other up to date on all things Tay.

I’ve been fortunate enough to see Taylor live a few times (all wonderful, wonderful times might I add). BUT, after meeting Kirsten and talking with her about the shows, I learned she had NEVER seen Taylor live! She never got the chance to and she has always regretted it. SO, flash forward three years later and Taylor announced the reputation stadium tour! No questions asked, we immediately bought tickets. The girl that has loved Taylor since 2006 will finally be able to see her perform LIVE ON AUGUST 4th and I am so happy to share this experience with her!

THANK YOU FOR COMING TO TORONTO, TAYLOR. You have no idea how excited we truly are to see you perform. We hope one day we can give you a big ol’ hug to thank you for bringing us together, and for helping us no matter what we’re going through with your music.

Catch us dancing like no one is watching and singing until our voices give out TORONTO NIGHT 2, SECTION 219R ROW 10 SEATS 5&6.

This is my formal way of pleading for @taylorswift to play clean in Toronto. August 1st will be my third year anniversary since I met you, Tay. Three long years where not only have you changed and grown, but so have I. I was 17, and now, I’m nearing my 21st birthday. And it’s crazy to think about who I was when we met. You probably don’t remember but as we were standing face to ace I held your hands and stared into your eyes while I was lightly crying and told you I was diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety. I told you that YOU were the reason I was fighting. YOU were the reason I was pushing through. YOU were the reason I knew I would make it through. You smiled, leaned back with tears in your eyes and told me how much that meant to you. You told me “you have to remember one thing. You have to remember to be positive and strong... for /me/.” You have no idea how much that has helped me through these past (almost) 3 years. Those words have comforted me in times of despair, betrayal and absolute broken-ness. Along with those words the quote I have Tattooed mean more to me than I’ll ever be able to explain even though I’m trying to. I know people on the internet don’t exactly love when people post personal stories online but I kind of feel like I have to. I’ve been waiting to post it and you’re such a big part of my life I just want you to know. So many things have changed. From the time I last saw you I’ve lost friends and I’ve gained them. I’m trying to take better care of myself. My mental health has been a rollercoaster but that’s not new. It’s almost a year since my dad died. And it’s no surprise to anyone that knows me that we had a rocky relationship. We often yelled at each other and more often then not our conversations would end in crying or hurting. When my mom and I separated from my dad It was bitter sweet. My mental health got better but unfortunately my dad got sick. And over the year he got more sick. Much more sick than he let on. Our relationship got better over time but I hadn’t seen him in so long, he was in another province and I didn’t make time to go see him. It was hard. And then last year in July he had a stroke. We rushed out to him and I saw my father on life support and basically had to say goodbye to him. One of the hardest things I had to do. But I told him I forgave him, and prayed he forgave me too. You’re probably wondering why I’m putting this all out there and what it has to do with you. But to be completely honest, Taylor. You’re one of those things that just keeps me going. I know I may not be online as much anymore. But I am here. Cheering you on. You own such a big part of my heart and you and your music has gotten me through some of the toughest times. So thank you Taylor, for loving and accepting me through my failed explorations. Thank you for showing me it’s okay to make mistakes and scream til you have no air left. It’s okay to move on in your own way and your own pace. And most importantly, it’s okay to not always be okay. Thank you for writing clean. Never in my life would I think it’s possible to pick a favourite song but I think it’s safe to say, that for me, Clean takes the cake. So please, taylor, if it’s possible or even an option for you to sing Clean in Toronto, it would mean the absolute world to me. To hear a song so near and dear to my heart. I love you Tay. See you soon.

Note: there are no in / out privileges.

RESTRICTIONS:

Professional cameras (3” lens or larger) and video/audio devices are not permitted. Please also be advised of the following prohibited items: selfie sticks, weapons, fireworks, air horns, glass bottles, cans, hard plastic containers or other potential projectiles, balloons, beach balls, Frisbees, laser pens, large umbrellas, musical instruments, pets, bulk foods, flashlights, battery packs, lights, and anything deemed inadmissible by security.
