A bit of welcome Autumn colour from the Day Lily (Hemerocallis Fulva) tiger daylily, roadside daylily. Orange daylily is native to Asia from the Caucasus east through the Himalaya through China, Japan, and Korea. Apparently they are actually not a lilly. I think there’s a much better value than real lilies because of the amount of flowers you get. I must keep my eye open for some different colours. #DayLily

Another Day Lily (Hemerocallis Fulva) tiger daylily, roadside daylily. Orange daylily is native to Asia from the Caucasus east through the Himalaya through China, Japan, and Korea. Apparently they are actually not a lilly. This one has been growing down the back for the last 20 years and always puts on a good show of flowers each year. It grows on rainwater alone and is at the top of a stone bank facing south. #DayLily

Back even better this year is the Day Lily (Hemerocallis Fulva) tiger daylily,roadside daylily. Apparently they are actually not a lilly. Also they are not deadly toxic like true lillies. I found this one a few years ago growing in a pile of rubbish and rescued it. Looks like I’m in for a good show of flowers again this year. #DayLily
