“Hi Win! How are you doing today? I heard the cookies were a hit last night!” Balo was going to try to pretend like the majority of last night didn’t happen, or at least, the Resistance hadn’t said anything she believed to be false. Otherwise, she’d have to discuss things she really didn’t want to get into. “You know, I never understood how you can do that without setting anything on fire. I mean, you’ve never burned anything down, right? And I feel like every time I touch anything that heats food it catches on fire. Even the microwave...  I’m just saying, I think it’s really impressive!” She explains, rambling a bit as she tries to keep the subject on food. “I don’t get how you do it, but I just wanted to say thank you! I wasn’t allowed to have any, but they looked pretty!”

Win ( @dackewins​​ ) Location: Prospect Park, Brooklyn

Balo wasn't quite sure why Zander had run off in a hurry, telling her to call Jack or Caitriona to ride the subway back after answering his phone, but she was going to try not to stress it too much. She was in Prospect Park, it was gorgeous, and she was enjoying walking in the fresh air. Sure, she was going to probably take a massive nap once she got back to the mansion but this felt like a good use of her time. When she spots Win nearby for a second she almost walks away immediately as that uncomfortable feeling of anger resurfaces, but, she needed someone to ride back with her anyway and if Win was in the park Jack was the last person she was going to ask to do so right now. She'd just have to apologize to him later. She pulls her heavy jacket a bit tighter to her as she approaches, taking a deep breath before she talks. "It's a lovely day for a walk, isn't it?"

Sure it was probably rich coming from Balo when she was clearly dressed for winter, but she was already aware her freezing had to do with how she was feeling.

“Okay, you have to put this on. No peeking!” Balo exclaims as she offers Win the blindfold, she finally finished the boxes and sure while she’d gone to him for approval every step of the way that was different from seeing the final painted boxes. “Because each and every one of the boxes are done! And I know that kinda ruins part of the surprise, but I don’t think it completely ruins it. Please? I promise I won’t run you into any walls! Although we could always wait til we get to my door and then you put it on... whichever you’d prefer!”
