“I can’t just bail you out, again. I helped last time and you still haven’t paid me back for it,” Kim says in a hushed tone as she walks arm in arm with the owner of Willow. They hold the door open and Kim parts from them to enter, still talking as they head towards their office at the back. “The best I can do is help today whilst you talk with the bank again. You’re going to have to grovel. Beg. Do what you have to do, or let it go. Either way time is running out,” she keeps her tone hushed as they are no longer alone.
Watching a fellow business owner struggle with their company was never east. Kim had been there. There were always tough periods: not enough profit, bad product production, problems with deliveries, the list goes on. But Willow seemed to be drowning in problems. Thus why Kim had been in meetings for weeks trying to help her friend out, but nothing seemed to be rightening for them. She feared the worst was happening before her eyes, and she couldn’t keep helping them out whilst they dug deeper graves for themselves.
“Go, let me look after your staff today,” she gently pushes them to the back before turning on the spot to look for said staff. Her eyes land on a beautiful young woman. She clasps her hands together, resting them against her stomach. “Now, who might you be? Your manager has parted ways with the store so I will be helping out today,” more like they were given the sack but Kim wasn’t going to vocalise that as she doesn’t know how close the staff were. Control the situation before everyone jumps ship when there’s still the chance of a life raft saving the day. “You can call me Kim.”
