When I see a reporter that I worked with at an internship on screen, I wave and mutter "hello friend!" I can't help it. It's a reflex.
You know, I’ve been doing this job for almost a year and I still get just a little bit nervous the few minutes before the phone rings with a call from an interview subject.
AVID CAN GO DIE
I get far too excited when I see people I know on TV.
Today, a kid I went to high school with was on the news.
He tried to rob a convenience store and got the shit beat out of him by a beer delivery man. Dude tackled him to the ground and sat on him until the cops showed up.
Legit, this is like the 15th kid I went to school with to make state-wide news for doing something shitty.
And it makes me laugh that one day one of these kids will fuck up and I'll be the reporter they send to plaster their face all over the TV.
