For this #medalmonday, I have a special guest. Yesterday we ran the 5k at the #EastBay510k, our first official race together. I was surprised she agreed to join me, as getting her to run- AND wake up extra early on the weekend- was her form of torture. But I invited her, and she said yes! . We got to the start line late- because teenagers- and took a few pics and then took off. To my surprise baby girl was killin’ it! She ended pacing me the entire time and didn’t even want to stop for water. Her tennis coach told her she needs to run with her mom more, and she took the advice. All that running during her practices has paid off, and now I’m thinking to ask her to race with me again. . Thanks to @representrunning for having me as an ambassador for the third year. I’m most proud of influencing this young lady to run this race...finally! It was my first time running the 5k distance, and I loved how family-friendly the course was.
