How can we miss Korrasami?
!!!!!!Rant about politics in Legend of Korra incoming!!!!!!!
Did anyone notice how undemocratic council of Republic City in first season is?
Like Tenzin seemingly gets a seat just because he is the only Airbender of age. He's representing what exactly? Three of his children and few converted air nomads on the air temple island? What makes him so fit for the job?
And Tarrlok, as far as anyone is concerned, he's from Northern Water Tribe. How is he there when he is not from Republic City (I find it very hard to believe he went around telling people his father is from there but regardless he didn't grow up in Republic City so he is essentially from Water Tribe).
There is one other representative of Water Tribe, going by the theory they represent Nations presumably from Southern one. In Republic City we don't really see anyone differentiate people from South and people from North. They are just people of the Water Tribe. And even if Southerners and Northerners divide among themselves, you think the rest of the city would let two Water Tribe representatives there? Even if their interests not always align, there is already 2/5 of the council who in theory always would put Water Tribe first, so they'd need only one other council member to agree on their decisions and that would be no freaking problem because –
What's up with the council? Why are they always voting in favour of Tarrlok? I mean come on, they do have their own interests, right?
So, conclusion is that Republic City, a place so culturally diverse and presumably housing millions... don't even elect their highest form of power? Other nations just send their people to rule this city? Which means none of the members actually have Republic City's best interest because if they did, they would be replaced? Forget equalists, they should have had a brewing civil war against unelected authority when Korra came.
And on that note, they shouldn't have switched so easily from this unelected council to an elected president. History tells us that democracy is born from blood, chaos and civil wars.
End rant.

【General Iroh II X OC the Lieutenant General Zoe】
—-an interview from a republic city reporter.
【General Iroh II X OC Lieutenant General Zoe】
In the most difficult times, you were there to help.
On an extraordinary journey, I found you walking by my side.
With you, I found ordinary happiness.
We found each other.
【Distance】Part 3-5
I'm sorry, I've been feeling unwell lately, that's why the update is so late.
General Irohll X OC Lieutenant General Zoe
(At this time, Zoe is a 24-year-old major general, while Iroh is a 35-year-old general.
The story takes place before Book 1, when professional bending competitions have just become popular.)
By the way, there‘s an eleven-year age gap between them, so both Zoe and Iroh are worried about criticism.
