DJ sat on top of a building, taking in the sight of their perfect Limbo. Hordes sitting somewhere in hell with Faye. They closed their eyes, feeling the soft breeze on their face, mask long discarded to the side. A smile crept on their face as the familiar sound of feathers could be heard behind them,

"DJ I know you're insane but please don't jump right after we won." The blonde angel teased gently, though to someone unknowing Noel would have sounded serious. He sat down next to DJ looking at them. "What are you thinking about?" Noel nudged DJ's side, trying to capture their friend's attention. Noel wasn't sure if friends were the right term anymore, every time DJ talked to him he felt like his stomach was full of butterflies. His face would get hot whenever DJ smiled at him when they would hold his hand and take care of Noel after facing a Geist.

"You, Limbo, us, whats going to happen next." DJ said, snapping Noel back to reality. They smiled at him, watching his dumbfounded face at hearing the fact he was first on DJs mind. "I mean, we've been through a lot, I would hope you wouldn't kick me out." They chuckle softly, hand finding its place ontop of Noels. Noels heart picked up, feeling DJs warm hand on his. Thats when it clicked for him, every smile, every hug, every comforting touch. He blinked a few times at DJ, the final gear clicking into place.

"Rabbit..." the familiar nickname fitting into place. He didn't know what to say, that he felt the same? What if he was looking too into it? What if DJ was just being nice?

"Yo, get out of your damn head." DJ flicked Noel's forehead, smiling. "I need a working Blondy or I'll never get my answer!" The hand on top squeezed Noel's hand, causing the blond to flush again. DJ scoots closer so their shoulders touch. Noel's wing wrapped around them, warding off anything that could attempt to hurt DJ. Noel looked outward at Limbo, praying to the Powers Seraphim his face would calm down. DJ watched, a knowing smile on their face watching their Blondy try to avoid what DJ has been craving for him to catch on to for so long.

After a beat Noel spoke again, barley trusting his voice. "What do you mean by us? Like if I'm going to kick you out? Which I'm not! I just-" He stopped himself, voice choking up. Shit, he swore he would never love again, he promised himself. What if it ended the same as anyone Noel cared about? DJ getting hurt, turning, and then Noel having to kill them. Tears formed in his eyes, finally looking at DJ, every wall he built shattering in a second. "I don't want to lose you Rabbit. I can't lose you." DJ looked almost stunned, seeing Noel talk with no hesitation. "And fuck I don't know if you feel the same or I'm reading too into it but, I love you and I can't lose you. I can't. If something happened to you, I could never recover." Tears spilled over Noels cheeks, DJ wiping them away.

"Hey hey hey, Noel, I'm not going anywhere." DJ's eyebrows furrowed, holding the fallen angel's face gently. "I'm hard to get rid of okay? And sure, you ruined my super dramatic and perfect confession where I could see your hair blowing in the wind while I got down on one knee and-" DJ's long explanation was cut off by Noel's lips, capturing theirs. DJ's face burned red as they kissed him back, holding his face. "You talk too much." Noel said with a huff as he pulled away slightly from DJ. A smirk on his face watching the dumbfounded Rabbit's mouth open and close looking for their words.

"God I love you." Was all DJ could think of before kissing Noel again. Pulling away once more to hold Noels hand and kiss it with a wink. "Guess you could say, we were roommates~" Noel looked confused as DJ laughed, pulling Noel against their side. Noels head sitting on DJs shoulder, his eyes closing. Feeling DJs thumb run over his knuckles, the perfect start to their less than perfect life together.
