REPUTATION SEATTLE 5/22/18 Dear Taylor Reputation changed my life. I know that sounds dramatic but hear me out. This album came at a period of transition for me, it came at a time where I needed to change and was too afraid to admit it. I had been stuck in such a place of sadness for so many years, and it took me until recently to realize that if I wanted to move on, I had to get up and actually move. I listened to Reputation, an album full of love and honesty and happiness and strength and pride, and I saw something I hadn’t before. I sat there with myself and said: “if Taylor Swift can be torn down, had her castle crumble overnight, go through all this pain and loneliness, and STILL make the best album of her career... than so can I.” I can make the changes I’ve been needing to, be the person I’ve always wanted to be, cut out all the things that bring me down, and most importantly turn away from the people who never deserved me in the first place. I can be my true self without fear of hiding who I am or judgement from people who don’t matter. I can forget the names that broke my heart and fill those cracks with love for myself and the love and support from the people who truly matter. This will be the last time they see me, the last time I make excuses, wear a mask, or live a lie. I’m unapologetically here and I’m beautiful. On May 22nd I will be attending the Reputation stadium tour Seattle with my very best friend (whose been there for me since day one) and we will be screaming our heads off and dancing harder than ever. I’m so excited that I can’t put it into words, and I can’t wait to see you. I love you, and I’m proud to stand beside you in the dawn of your greatest era yet.
