♀ for a mother headcanon :

As he has inherited some Anakin’s characteristics , Luke has also inherited some padmè’s characteristics, including her strong force of will and calm, and her ability to forgive. Luke has grown up didn’t knowing very much about his mother, he didn’t knew that she was a senator of the Galactic senate, and neither he knew that she have once been the Queen of Naboo, he only knew her name, Padmè. Both Beru and Owen had met her briefly, when she and Anakin came in their homestead shortly before the beginning clone wars , so they weren’t able to tell Luke more about his real mother.

More the people told Luke that he looked alot like his father, the more it saddened him, mostly because he never had the chance to know him. He always wanted to know more about him, and for suppress his curiosity Owen have been forced to tell him that he was dead. At the beginning, he never believed this story, in fact he still wished that his father would come to take him away from Tatooine for travel the Galaxy together, but he never came, and he convinced himself that his father was really dead.

He may have had many friends on Tatooine, even if only a few of them were real friends to him, but even if he used to spend his time with them when he was not occupied to help him uncle on the farm, he hadn’t anyone to confide with. He sometimes even envied some of his friends that had a brother or a sister, even if they didn’t seemed to get along with them, but Luke was absolutely sure that his life would have been complete if he had a sister at his side, she would have helped him in many situations, and he would have confessed her many things.
