I’m quite literally obsessed with Mendelssohn’s violin concerto at the moment. Like oh my God I literally can’t listen to anything else.
The emotional intensity, the contrasting parts between passion and tenderness, cruelty and beauty, the enchanting usage of woodwinds in the background, I just can’t. I want to ramble about it for pages but my brain is literally too full and the words just aren’t coming at the tip of my tongue.
A very good interpretation imo, Queen Hilary never disappoints <3
oh my god i wish i had the brainpower to start writing for Viktor. i’m thinking way too much about him and i fear writing is the only cure
like i want to give him the comfort he deserves but also i have SO many thoughts about him being a Nietzschean (of some sort). i would really love to write an analysis of that
Don’t you just love it when Kunikida
I’ve been listening to Detroit: Become Human’s soundtrack and sobbing in a totally normal way, and I have some thoughts.
Firstly, I adore the fact that they hired separate composers for all the three protagonists’ musics. This way, you directly associate certain “vibes” to different characters and the style doesn’t seem repetitive. Good job, Quantic Dream.
Secondly, the choices of main instruments for the main characters are so meaningful to me:
Connor’s soundtracks are all so mechanic, with touches of electronic stuff like keyboard and electro-violins and synthetisers and all, because he’s a machine. Nothing more, nothing less, am I right? The rare usage of the authentic piano in his investigation themes hints at little signs of deviance, and it adds on the refined and distant vibe that Connor has.
Kara’s soundtracks always have the cello and the piano as the main element, and honestly it fits her so well. It’s passionate, tender, touching, it fits wonderfully her path of protection and mother instincts towards a little girl.
Markus has the chorus as the main element in his music, and I really couldn’t have thought of a more fitting one. He is the voice of a people, of his people. He gets together thousands of individuals and make them create something in harmony, just like a chorus does.
It hurts so much to see Kunikida smile in a hurt way while reminiscing about Katai, his old friend, who he assumes dead 🥺.
I will never forgive Bones for having cut out all the beautiful Kunikida scenes that give dimension to his character.
*screams* how is a literal emotionless machine writing better Kunikida fluff than I ever do
I cannot stop thinking about this panel 🥺
I’ve been looking at him here and internally melting for days. He looks so young, so determined, just so- so beautiful, with his cute black vest too.
Gives me Teacher!Kunikida vibes too…
I adore 🥺🦋
