Week 5 : Date Night - ReBilly - 01.06.2025

This is my first time drawing Billy and Rebecca (first time drawing any RE character really), so I wanted something soft for them :3 I like the idea of them being on a little vacation in Japan~

Done using ink pens, alcohol markers, gel pens, acrylic paint pens and photoshop for the background, light and shadows effect, pattern on Rebecca's dress, Rebecca's freckles and for the blur effect

【Leon Begins to Become Popular (Leon's POV)】

There's something I'll forever keep secret from my Buddy.

I've always been popular with both men and women.

But when I go out with my Buddy, my popularity skyrockets because my partner is a wheelchair-bound Eastern European man.

As soon as my Buddy disappears into the restroom for medical attention, the beautiful woman I've been feeling approaches me.

"Is there any chance I could have with a man other than Slavic?"

I should commend her for not mentioning the wheelchair. Her large breasts seem to be packed with good sense.

Because my Buddy is a man, he also receives more direct advances from men.

"I bet your boyfriend is a great guy…"

He'll hold my hand as we pass each other, stare intently into my eyes, and hand me a business card with his number written on it.

"I'd love to hear your story, if you don't mind. I don't want you to take it the wrong way, but my purpose is different."

There are more people than when I was alone, sipping a drink at the bar. If the previous wave was a big wave, now it's a tsunami.

I can understand how they feel. Humans really are beyond help.

This is America, and Buddy is of Eastern European descent and in a wheelchair.

From the outside, does Leon look like a tragic Romeo, exhausted and frustrated from caring for his partner? Leon's handsome and manly, but from poor Eastern Europe, and he's only able to attract wheelchair-bound men—a pathetic man with some kind of problem?

But the image of a "good, harmless man devoted to his wheelchair-bound boyfriend" at first glance seems to make him more valuable as a sexual object than good looks.

Perhaps what attracts people is not beauty or sexiness, but the honor of a seemingly obvious goodness. Both men and women are hungry for a man of value. If I had realized this truth sooner, I might have been able to spend my time more meaningfully.

【モテ始めるレオン（レオン視点）】

バディには永遠に秘匿することがある。

もともと俺は異性、同性問わずモテていた。 しかしバディと出掛けると、俺の相手が車椅子で東欧系の男であることで、俺のモテに拍車が掛かった。

バディがケアのためにレストルームに消えた途端、さっきから視線を感じていた美女が近寄ってきて、

『スラブ系の男性以外にもチャンスはあるかしら？』

車椅子に言及しなかったことは、褒められるべきだろう。彼女の大きな胸にはちゃんと良識も詰まっているようだ。

バディが男であるせいで、もっと直接的な男たちからのアピールも受ける。

『君の彼氏は素敵な男なんだろうな…』

擦れ違い様に手を握られ、じっと瞳を見詰められたり。番号が手書きされた名刺を差し出されて、

『良かったら君の話を聞きたいな。悪く受け取って欲しくないんだが、目的は別だ』

かつて、独り孤独にバーでグラスを傾けていた時より多勢。これまでが大波なら、今は津波だ。

気持ちは分からなくもない。つくづく人間ってヤツは救いがたい。

ここはアメリカで、バディは車椅子で東欧系。

はたから見たレオンはパートナーの介護に疲れ、欲求不満に苦しむ悲劇のロミオか。美男で精悍なのに、貧しい東欧出身、しかも車椅子の男しか捕まえられない、何かしらの問題を抱えた哀れな男？

その中でも〝車椅子の恋人に尽くしている、善良で無害な男〟というパッと見で伝わるイメージは、美男であることより性的対象としての価値を嵩増すようだ。

人間が惹き付けられるのは、美しさやセクシーさより、パッと見で分かる善性という誉れなのかもしれない。男も女も、価値ある男に餓えている。この世の真実にもっと早くに気付いていれば有意義な時間を過ごせたかも。

【Snowed In】

A high, clear winter sky of stars. Everything is white and silent, as if we've entered another world. No one goes outside for fear of freezing to death. With nothing to see but the light of the stars, it's easy to intertwine our fingers. If only we were in a world where we were the only ones… "Can I come again next winter?" Usually I would have said something nasty like, "You'll come even if I say no." I'd hide my embarrassment. But now, it was such a special night that I answered with a kiss.

冬の高くて透き通った星空。全てが寝静まって、違う世界に入り込んだかのよう。凍死を怖れて、誰も外に出ないからだ。星の光以外、何も見えないから、指を絡めるのも容易い。 自分たちしかいない世界だったら……。「来年の冬も来ていいか？」 いつもなら、あんたは嫌だと言っても来るだろう、と憎まれ口で照れ隠しするところを、キスで返すくらいには、特別な夜。
